I forgot today was my best friend's baby shower.. How do I make it up to her?
She's very hurt by my actions. Granted, it was a stupid thing to forget.. But I'm a forgetful person. I'm overwhelmed with my own life's insanity, I spend last night crying because I found a lump in my breast that's been there for a good 4-5 months, saw the Dr yesterday and she scheduled me for an ultrasound, they are to call when they can get me in.. I am a mess just waiting for this call. I woke up this morning to find that my dog is sick and he's the best dog I ever had.. So I was running around trying to get medicine for him, and on memorial day, going anywhere is a task. Also.. I have A.D.D. -Yes, I'm clinically diagnosed for it. Forgetting things is a way of life for me, and it sucks terribly. I tell you all of this to let you know, I'm not an asshole. I'm just forgetful and am dealing with possible life changing things...So, I need a little bit of help coming up with a creative way of saying "Sorry best friend, I'm not an asshole... I didn't mean to make you feel bad and I am so so happy for you and your new baby" ... Because god knows she needs to smile. I talked to her a bit ago.. and saying that I'm didn't mean to miss it, I didn't do it on purpose, all of those such things didn't help. I thought of buying her some gifts and a card reinstating that I'm not an asshole and that I love her dearly and value her friendship especially through these upcoming tough times. So, I beg of anyone creative enough, help me out. What can I do for her and her baby girl?
What's a good apology gift for a girl?
Do you remember her mentioning anything she wants recently? Like of you were walking past a shop and she saw something in the window? That would be a great gift. I would appreciate a nice perfume, or scarf, or peice of jewelry. It doesn't have to be expensive, it really is the though that counts. And make sure to write her a note or card apologising sincerely. Tell her what you wrote here, about how she's a sister to you. She'll appreciate that more than any gift in the end. If she doesn't want to see you, flowers are a lovely gesture too, sent to her house with a heartfelt note :) Hope I helped :)) x
Would you buy your best friend underwear for a christmas present?
Actually, I think it depends on the people involved. I can see guys buying "crazy" boxers for another guy especially if they were music or "girl" oriented ie favorite band or some lil hottie printed on them. I can also see girls buying thongs or boy briefs or something like that if a favorite theme is involved as well or if one of them mentions while out shopping that she would JUST LOVE a pair of those. Like I said, it all depends

The reason the girls said what they said was they were jealous that your friend has a boyfriend. Well used too. You will now see that of those girls, they will now start talking to him or even date him. This you can say to your friend and ask her was he really worth it? She may say Yes, but you are to convince her to say no. I think you best bet here is to get a male friend or even a cousin and from other school to come up and ask her out to the dance. Hopefully they will have such a good time that it may lead onto something more. I only suggest this as it's at short notice. Alternatively you and a few of your friends could approach the guy and tell him to get his butt back in there and take her to the dance OR ELSE, he'll get a right b*tch slapping and the rumor mill will be in over-drive that he is gay. See how he likes getting something said about him that isn't true? lol Additionally those girls. Target the weakest of the group. And spread the rumour that she is a whore and will give sex out readily. See how she likes it. She won't. The nasty ones usually love give crap, but at the same time they are the ones who hate it the most when given back to them. lol
