What Are My Options For Going To Police Twice And Writing On My Husband That It Was Not A Legal

My neighbors keep calling the police on me and falsely accusing me of criminal acts. I am afraid to go outside of my house. What do I do?

I have a neighbor that is fixated on my husband. She seemed a little off, but once she found out about his time in prison she developed a full blown obsession. She wrote the association board for our community a complaint about him slamming doors and watching her when she was outside. This was nonsense but they still had to address it with us. She wrote subsequent letters to the board stating he has a key to her car, and gains entry to turn on her radio...that he lets air out of her tires...that he's getting in her home and releasing ants...and he's poisoning the food in her refrigerator. We'd see police at her door, but they never stopped by to talk to us. One day last fall, my husband was riding his bike. This neighbor pulled her car in front of him and slammed on her brakes, causing him to fall off his bike. Her behavior was now endangering him so we went to the police to file a report. The police were helpful, and knew our neighbor well. Apparently she'd filed lots of police reports about my husband and a few other men from the neighborhood. The police recognized she has mental health issues and never pursued her later complaints. So what can you do? Try to have your cell phone ready to record if you think your neighbor will confront you. Keep a cool head, there's nothing wrong with not engaging in an argument. Don't be afraid to talk to the police to see what your options are if you're being harassed. You don't want to end up on the wrong side of this problem.UPDATE: my local police department reached out to the neighbour's daughter, the daughter called my husband to apologize and let him know she will be intervening in a medically supervised care program for her mother. She made sure he has her contact info should we have any problems. I give her all the credit in the world, she was wonderful and it's great that she wants to be involved in her care! Here's hoping my neighbor gets back on track.

Are there criminal charges for writing a bad check?

Just FYI if anyone checks back: I contacted him immediatelly after the money was pulled out, and he told me yes he stopped payment and hung up. He never had a problem with the quality of the work, only the charge. We argued about the charge until we finally met in the middle, with written consent from everyone that the charge was acceptable. It was 3 weeks later that he stopped payment on the check. I assumed the check had cleared after the bank's 3 day holding period was over. Either way, I have enough written proof in the contracts to win a civil suit, I was just hoping that since I have to go without christmas this year, that he could spend it dealing with the police.

My in laws and husband mentally torture me and they pushing me to depression. What shall I do?

I'm sorry to know about what you've been going through. Trust me, you're not alone. This is the story of every other household and many times more than physical torture, because mental torture is difficult to prove, measure or report. In order to come out if the situation, it seems there are two options. Either to quit or to fight. You can fight before quitting. To fight the situation, you’ve to be very strong and confident or atleast pretend to be. You've to stop playing the Victim Card and prepare yourself for the tough challenge. An eye for an eye.You need not be disrespectful or lose your anger. And showing your frustration is a complete no no. Be patient and take up one thing at a time.

Can I withdraw a police complaint after FIR has been lodged?

FIR is lodged under section 154 of CrPC. Once it is lodged, the Police get powers to investigate the crime under section 156 of CrPC. FIR cannot be withdrawn. The case can be classified in the a manner provided in the Law. In this case, You can file your statement before the Police stating therein the inadvertent mistake committed in filing the FIR and how and why the person complained against should not be proceeded against. In your case the case can be classified as C - neither true nor false if your have committed a bonafide mistake in lodging the complaint. If it is not so, then the action will depend upon various factors that are concerned with the facts stated in the FIR. If the person complained against is arrested, it will bring bad results for you, If the the FIR is lodged knowing that the facts are false and you are seeking the Police to act on it, would attract action u/s 182 of CrPC or 211 of IPC. You have not provided facts of the case so it will not get meaningful answer. Best option is to seek legal advice and act accordingly.

Can I Have My Wife Legally Committed?

I think my wife is bipolar and needs to get professional help. But she denies that she has a problem. I am afraid for the two children that we have. She has been mentally and physically abusive to me and the children. One day, I walked into the house and she had my 3 year old daughters face buried in the sofa and my daughter was trying her hardest to get away. She told me that she was trying to rid my daughter of a demon. She also drinks everyday and sometimes drinks while driving with our children in the car. I need help, but do not know where to turn.

Can a landlord enter my house without permission?

Yesterday, my husband was home alone in the shower getting ready for work, and when he came out our landlords wife was standing in the middle of the hallway, he was not clothed at all because our bedroom is right there. She claimed she knocked, however the door was wide open and a key she brought over sticking out of it. Needless to say, past the embarrassment. My husband was angered by the incident. I myself have caught her in the house 2 times now when returning early from work, and she always makes a claim she was checking my pets. I do not have the funds for an attorney right now. So can anyone please tell me if this is legal for her to enter our house with a key anytime she wants. I double checked our lease and no where in it does it mention they can at will come in. By the way I live in Colorado, if that matters, any help would be appreciated
