What Are School Trips Like

What are school trips like?

Usually school trips will let you choose roommates, as it makes the whole trip easier on everyone. As far as leaving the hotel on your own, usually there are some restrictions but it kind of depends where the hotel is and what is nearby. There will be a meeting or information handed out about what meals are provided and which ones you might have to pay for; how much the trip will cost and possibly a range of recommended amounts of cash you can expect to need to spend. Local transportation would be provided when the group goes from place to place, but if they let you break out on your own you would pay your own way then.

How do I get through my period on a school trip?

Sorry to hear about the extra stress on your upcoming trip. Periods have terrible timing! The good news is that periods are totally normal, and most adults won't freak out about them at all. If you are staying with a female teacher, odds are she has periods of her own. Still, I totally get that you don't want to talk to your teacher about your menstrual cycle. Here are my tips:Whatever you usually use, tampons, pad, or menstrual cup, should work just fine. If you are extra-worried about leaks, you might want to double up with both a tampon and a pad.Pack your pads/tampons in your carry-on bag, so you don't have to worry about lost luggage. Bring a few more than you think you'll need.Pack extra undies and a large Ziploc bag, in case you stain some underwear. It sounds like you are particularly worried about leaks at night. I get it; as a teen I had very heavy periods. I also toss and turn a lot at night, so I was very prone to leaking. My secret was disposable underwear. These are usually sold near pads, under brand names like Depends.I know, wearing what is basically an adult diaper sounds embarrassing. Nowadays, though, they make fancy ones that look like underwear. They are thin, and shouldn't be noticeable under pajamas.SourceGood luck at your conference!

Ways to raise money for school trips and stuff like that?

Great! What our school does is that we usually do bake sales at school! That raises a lot of money because everyone loves a treat! You could also makes backdrop and get a camera and if people want their pictured taken you could charge a dollar or something. If you have a polaroid you could do that because it grabs a lot if attention. You could organize a concert where you ask people to participate and charge 1 to however many dollars you like to come watch. Hope this helps and good luck!

Are school trips dangerous?

Well obviously that depends on what, where and with who school trips are.In North American aggressive litigation has gone a long way to remove and dangers, and a lot of fun from many school trips. On a whole it’s extremely unlikely that anything will damageAs for your sisters experience, take it with a grain of salt. I’ve frequently seen people freaking out on hikes that are really quite tame where even a dramatic tumble will not result in injury. And even on those peaks, very foolish people have gotten themselves badly injured, stuck or in trouble. But that’s no fault of the peak or the route, just bad decision making, or idiotic behaviour on the part of the hikers. My guess is they wouldn’t be going up such a mountain if the dangers were serious. Though Israel does have a higher risk tolerance that most westerners.

I'm going to Tehran for a school trip and would like to speak to Christians and Jews about their lives in a country like Iran. Will I get in trouble?

I would say no, not generally. However, I would say due to some old, long histories which go way back, the religious minorities have grown accustomed to hang among their own. This was specially evident when I took a tour of Jewish neighborhoods and synagogues of Tehran. They are incredibly nice and hospitable people (like all Iranians) but if your questions are more political or religious, they may get defensive (bad memories there in the psyche of our nations).I think Christians are a little bit more easy going, but keep in mind they are mostly from Gregorian Church. So make sure you are contacting the right people to connect you to the people you need to conduct your interviews (Oh, and yes! You should find some contacts to link you with them - Going in by yourself may get you nowhere). My last advice, just to be sure, try to get as many recommendation letters, IDs and other things that validate your interviews as you can. You never know! And if you want to post any of it anywhere, better wait to be back in your country.Hope you have a great visit.

Did your high school offer a class trip?

I am going to infer a bit from the question, “Did your high school offer a class trip?”I am inferring that the idea is:a school-sponsored overnight experience in a distant destination location.Several key elements of such a trip are:a night away from parents.basic spending freedom anchored by a budget.management of food intake.negotiation of a triad: what authority has set as the rule; what peers goad each other to get away with; and, what one finds acceptable within one’s own standards.I was possibly 48 years old when I observed a far more senior employee having difficulty with ‘the triad’. It added to my respect for the school system that organized a 9th grade weekend trip to Boston, from a downstate New York suburb. The class overnight trip is a life skills exercise first, with just enough of a dash of cultural and historic significance thrown in to let Mommy and Daddy feel comfortable with signing the permission slip. The town I moved to for 10th through 12th grade did not offer such a trip.It was a socioeconomic divide. Most of that high school’s graduates were never going to need to file Travel and Expense reports with their employers.
