What to wear to a Gothic club?
honestly at most goth clubs you are not going to get any grief dressing however you want. However if you want a quick way to blend in without going out and buying alot... the following is a quick way to do so. First, outfit: A black top, your choice on if you want to go tshirt or a nice flowing blouse... depends on what you think looks better on you. add either black or grey jeans, pants, or skirt (fishnets preferred with skirts though)... whatever you prefer. The key comes in from your accessories and makeup. Accessories, fishnet gloves are cute but also any cute black fingerless cloth gloves work well (oddly enough hot topic has some cute ones if you are trying to find some quick... though the quality will not be great.) or the full armlenght fingerless gloves with the lacing can be cute. Add in a silver or other white metal necklace (ankhs and crosses are common) and that handles accessories... Oh and for footwear boots are a key... black preferred... but they do not have to be stompy boots or anything... just match footwear to the outfit. Now to the big thing makeup... Foundation: go 1 to 2 shades lighter than your skin tone. Mascara: black is the classic, normally only the top lashes though. (blinking into it helps get it better.) Eyeliner: Most go black (I find semi-solid works best for a night at the club) and just do a thin line under the eye. (semi-solid works best as it lets you get the line in one motion which makes it look much better) Make sure you go thin on the line or else it really puts off the look. Powder: oddly enough i have found cornstarch works well to keep the paler look best from a powder standpoint. Lipstick/gloss: personal prefference Nails: Many go for black on the nailpolish or dark red... but purples, venemous greens, or even chrome looks really nice on the nails. (I would say match the color to any accessories you might happen to be taking.) Hope this helps

I have a bit of a problem..I plan to purge my femme wardrobe, which goes back to 1998, and most of which no longer fits. I intend to keep one or two items, but thats it. I have a male goth wardrobe thats pretty extensive, but my femme clothes are lacking. I have limited money and would like to progress more to a modern look. I'm about 231# and 6' tall, so where can I got to find some really good goth clothes? Hot Topic has some good stuff, but I'd like to avoid that store, due to the "poseur" label that I'd get. I prefer not to look online, so where would be some good places to look?

Well whether you are male or female, finding cheap goth clothes that aren't trash is EXTREMELY hard.Now you can find some reasonably priced clothes on the clearance racks at places like Spencer's and Hot Topic. Now to mention you can also find some good goth stuff at thrift stores. I legit found a hell bunny dress for thirty bucks and steal toe boots for like fifteen.Though I do most of my shopping online, there is some good cheap goth stuff on amazon. Also there is wish, but I wouldn't really recommend it. The clothes are cheap, but they all come from china. So it's takes a ton of time to get them delivered (unless you live in asia) and even then it's unlikely it'll fit. I dunno about men, but when I ordered a XL womens blouse on there it wouldn't even fit my thigh.Guess the women in China are extremely miniature.Still though I just recommend thrift shops, they will cause your wallet a lot less pain.

What type of clothes is good at covering self harm scars, but is light enough for summer use?
depends on where your scars are. if they’re on your forearm, you can do thin long sleeves but try and make the color of the shirt light in order to attract less heat. you can also wear short sleeves and wear lots of bracelets.if your scars are on your thighs, you can wear long pants or dresses or skirts.for me, i have scars all down my arms and my thighs. i have somewhat learned to accept my arm scars, so i’m alright wearing short sleeves sometimes. before i learned to accept them, i wore long sleeves everyday and died from the heat, which i do not recommend.as for the scars on my thighs, i always wear either pants of dresses or skirts. i dress really goth so i don’t really like wearing dresses or skirts but i now do wear dark colored dresses and skirts but i wear tights and doc martens with them etc. in order to be able to express my goth style.scars suck man, let me know if there’s anything i can do to help. i’m going through a similar thing now too, so we would have lots to talk about.

How can I get that dark, mysterious look without looking emo, scene, or gothic?
I love this look, but you're right, it's hard to pull off without looking like a goth or emo kid. Generally, I just wear a dark (but not black) pair of skinny jeans, some black ankle boots, a nice blouse, and (if it's a chilly day) a velvet blazer or something of that nature. As for makeup, try smokey eyes with maybe a bit of reddish lipgloss. It's incredibly classy, without looking too dark and creepy.
