What are the signs and symtoms of Asthma?

My first asthma symptoms were shortness of breath bascially my airways were shut off for 3-5 seconds while I was doing even little things like walking the dogs I had sharp directive pain in the chest and continuous coughing.. Asthma is shortness id breath. It feels like you are nor breathing to your full potential. Not enough air is getting into your lungs and sometimes an asthma attack may bring along with it a panic attack because you can't breath. It may cause dizziness..and hyperventilation sometimes if you are not on an asthma treatment. your oxygen levels should be at 90-100. When I had an asthma attack, levels were at 40..which medical people can tell your nor getting enough air inside you.
Symptoms are very shortness of breath. not sure how to explain it... the symptoms u described don't sound like asthma, it sounds like a cold or a lung or chest infection...
