How do I put an icon on my desktop?
For Windows 7/8/10 (I think even XP has the same functions), it is actually pretty easy to put icons on the desktop. Assuming of course, that you are talking about putting shortcuts for your various programs on the desktop.Click on the start button and start typing the name of the program. When the shortcut appears on the search results, just right click on the icon>select send to>click desktop. Presto, you now have a shortcut (icon) on your desktop for that particular program. Just rinse and repeat for each additional shortcut/icon you want. Instead of typing and searching, you can just click on the All Programs (or just scroll through the list for Win 8/10) item, then the folder containing the icon you want to copy and then perform the right click functions.You can also go into the personalization settings and add (or remove) a few other shortcuts, for things like This PC, Network and recycle bin.You can also create a shortcut/icon. Right click on an open space on the desktop and select New>shortcut. For this to work, you need to know the location of the executable file you want to run (I.e. C:\Program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe) I wouldn’t commend this way of doing it, unless you are familiar with the file system and know the actual executable file you need; some programs don’t have an obvious exe file.You can also use the drag and drop method. There are to ways to drag and drop something. If you hold down the left mouse button and drag the item to the desktop it will move the file/shortcut to that location. If you hold down the RIGHT mouse button and drag the item to the desktop, it will bring up a context menu where you can select create shortcut here.I am not an expert on Linux, but I believe it has a ‘drag and drop’ feature similar to Windows.

Try removing via antivirus software such as "MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS (FREE)", AVAST ANTIVIRUS (FREE), ESET TOTAL SECURITY (PAID), NORTON OR SYMANTEC.Alternatively, if u have installed any unknown software or some software from unusual site, try removing it via Programs and Features or try System Restore.
All of the icons on my desktop changed to utorrent files and now they won't work?
I am doing this from my iPod because all of my browsers have been turned into these utorrent files and they won't work so I can't use downloads. Restarting my computer (as in putting it back to factory settings) is not a option. How do I undo these changes to my desktop icons? Step by step please. Do I have to reset my whole computer?
