Donald Trump "Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!". Is this a slap in the face of Americans without jobs?

The federal government has been reporting for a few months now that there is a job for everyone (meaning citizens) in America who wants one, that some would need to go in under an apprenticeship but employers now are wanting that just to get employees. So I don’t understand why you think Americans would be slapped at all.China has been having problems in the past with empty highrise office buildings, and now having problems with the rural farming, but I doubt if America caused any of that. China has created a problem since the 1980’s of being against our copyright and trademark laws and we want that corrected. And the trading has been that America has lost money (probably because when that was started the other countries had a low economy but since that time their economies have flourished so now we want fair trading to get some of our money back as we are providing for some of their citizens here in America and losing our shirts.

'The China Study'?

Hehehe. YES! I love that book, want everyone to read that book, and it absolutely changed my life.

The author is well-respected in the field of research. He headed up a lot of the studies that meat-eaters use to try and disprove vegetarianism as being helathy. The only problem is, more research has been done that makes the old research obsolete! How people can trust early research and then ignore further research by the same people is beyond me.

There are two groups that I know of that refute Dr. Campbell's work. One is Chris Masterjohn, who I believe is some kid in his 20's with no background in nutrition or research and I think the other is the Weston Price Foundation.

The China Study (book) is a thorn in the meat and dairy industries' side because Dr. Campbell is so well-regarded as an honest and accomplished researcher and his testing methods are pretty cut and dry. The results of his research are downright scandalous and this book IS reaching a more mainstream audience. I know quite a few non-veg people who have heard of it/read it and they were blown away.

EVERYONE should read the book. It not only goes into the China Study, which is the biggest study on nutrition every done that just so happens to provide a whole lot of evidence that the more animal products you eat the more your chance of getting "western diseases" goes up, but it also goes into a lot more information about how research works and how animal products really may be the root of our most "popular" diseases, no matter how much people may want to believe otherwise.

I have a friend who was, until very recently, on the board of directors for a famous cancer research hospitals/universities in the U.S. He loves the book, too, and is a strict vegetarian because of the research done at his university and the research detailed in The China Study.

But, some people don't want to believe the evidence in front of them no matter what. Ignorance is bliss if it means they can still eat burgers with extra cheese.

What are the problems associated with Chinese crested dogs?

I do know that these dogs tend to get dry skin and you have to put lotion on them and they need additional calcium, but I don't know if there are many other problems you need to be aware of with this particular breed of dog. Anyone have one of these types of dogs? Personality traits too?

Why can't USA bring manufacturing jobs back from China?

But here's my suggestion:

1) Bring Chinese manufacturers to America to do American manufacturing at Chinese wages. Do not make them US Citizens, give them a special status.

2) Allow US customers the option to go directly to these manufacturing plants to have their everyday appliances custom made at Chinese wages/prices.

3) If the Chinese manufacturers cannot make the quality product the US customer wants, the customer can ask for help from former US manufacturers to help make the product US manufacturers would get a US wage. This means the customer of this order would agree to pay more for this product.

Do you see how this works? This enables people to in America to have more control over the products they buy.

And it is no less just to the Chinese worker than how it is right now. I suppose you can pay them a few cents more for coming over here. But I think they would agree.

Do Americans realize our jobs were lost to technology and not to China or Mexico?

That is not entirely true. Take Germany. Even when they have robots in their car assembly lines and certainly other industries, they have still kept some of their factories up and running, just like Switzerland with its outlandish high salaries. Outsourcing has no other benefits than to fatten the wallets of shareholders. We even have a toothbrush factory here! Political leadership and the business community needs to strike a balance between their immediate wants and overall societal needs. In order to have a population interested in science and engineering, that then leads to overall progress and new developments you need industry, factories. Those jobs pay well and are interesting, make you think. Flipping burgers and cleaning hotels does not. Even most of those white-collar jobs are pretty stifling and boring and will not advance humanity. Or does anybody think that Marketing skills or the newest Google app will solve our global climate change issue? That is why most of the new research facilities now are going up in Asia, not the West. You want to be close to where the action is.
