Alright, hi guys! For about a solid year now i've wanted to learn how to code, but the language looks complicated and I have no idea where to start. I want to learn how to code well enough to make iPhone games, games I can throw on a website etc. I understand this will take a LOT of practice to get to that point but I am seriously willingto put the time in. Technology in general has been a passion of mine forever, and I would love to learn how to make a cool iPhone game. So here are my questions: 1) where do I start? I have no coding experience other than a general to advanced knowledge using the program Scratch. So what resources can I go to? (prefferably web resources, but if learning from a book is really going to help, im open to it) 2) what coding language should I learn first? I would be interested in learning java because I have seen some cool games made with that coding style, and they range from simple games like legends of yore to what seems to be games that require complex coding like minecraft and runesacpe. 3) I totally expect a long learning process before it gets to the point where I can actually make a legitimate game, but how long did it take you guys to code well? I want to reach the point where I can make some simple yet respectable iPhone games. Perhaps a creative pickupandplay. I've also been inspired by legends of yore to make create an addicting yet simple rpg like that. Overall, I need a basic overview of where to start learning about coding games.
