Innerspeakers has been an album that I can listen to on repeat for a REALLY long time now. Why Wont You Make Up Your Mind, Alter Ego, Expectation, and It Isn't Meant To Be are my go to tracks. They literally NEVER get old. I was wondering if there are any other good bands that are up to par with Tame Impala. Definitely within the "chill-wave" / psychedelic rock gene. What are some other good psychedelic POP bands like Tame Impala?
Since you are asking about a modern band, I would recommend The Temples. They are a psychedelic pop rock band for sure. Check out Shelter Song. Does not get much better than this:Going back a little earlier is The Cure. Mint Car is a great psych power pop song.The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are another modern band I would argue boarder on psych rock. Maps certainly gets into that stoned psych feel:I think some of what Jack White has done also qualifies:Checkout Freedom at 21 and the recent classic Lazaretto:And let's not forget the Pretty Reckless:Psych rock is very much a niche genre that started with the Beatles doing LSD (Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds) and going from there. But as the popularity of LSD faded, the genre did as well. But as with anything, it gets incorporated into what is accepted as rock and a band like the Pretty Reckless is not a psych rock band by any stretch, they did produce a killer psych video in My Medicine.

I really want to listen to more bands that have loads of 80/70's sounding syths and the vocals are all echoe-y. ive tried beach fossils, wild nothing and others but the only other band that comes close is Neon Indian.
