The rasta colors have certain menings (listed below). For true rastas, the colors are very symbolic. Personally, I don't think that you should be wearing them for fashion & the love of Bob Marley as they have very significant meanings & if you don't know what they are, then you definately should not be wearing them. Red=blood that was shed Green=earth, specifically the land of Africa Gold=treasures & cherished items (Specifically, the gold that Africans stole) Black (not an official rasta color, but is sometimes included)=the people of Africa

Omg I am trying to answer your question since a while ago and it won't submit! UGH! Here's what I want to share with you. You could get a black dress and get a nice bracelet with rasta colors to wear with it. Or you could get a black dress and some nice bright red pumps, a yellow bracelet and green earrings to go with it. What are some fun Halloween costume ideas for groups?
Coming up with group costume ideas is half the fun. I would suggest you pick several themes and have everyone involved vote--or draw from a hat or something. There are endless themes, but being that the question is about Halloween in particular, anything scary would do. A good ol' gang of zombies is always a popular but not so original. You will have a lot more fun options if you go for funny. Depending on the amount of people involved there may be different options. Everyone can dress up as a different character from a video game or movie (Super Mario characters are always awesome) but there are a lot more creative group costumes. You can play around with food costumes, for instance. If not, there are animals, historical figures, etc. If you don't want to give it much thought, you can always default to superheroes. We once dressed up the performers from the Miami Marlins in matching superhero outfits for a theme night (below).The most original ideas are DIY group costumes, but if you'd rather save the time, there are some really neat pre-made outfits. Manufacturers like Rasta Imposta, Fun World and Elope have pretty clever group costumes. Check the 'Paper, Rock, Scissors'.Hope that helps--at least for next Halloween.
Do people who wear the rasta colors actually know what they mean?
A ton of kids at my school suddenly start wearing them out of nowhere, and they call them the 'jamaican colors' or bob marley colors... I've been familiar with these since I was a little kid. I grew up on Bob Marley and reggae music, and I've known what the colors meant. It basically represents Africa as a whole. Not very many people know that there are a lot of countries in Africa that have rasta colors as their flags (Senegal, Ghana, Mali, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Burkina Faso, Benin...) Am I the only one who notices this??

so theres this castume party for uni and its high school cliques so i decided to go as a stoner by the way im a girl. so i have no idea what to wear lol theres so many things for guys but not much ideas for girls. since its a high school cliques party the costume has to be obvious. by the way if anyone can think of another costume idea would be helpful to. p.s not cheerleaders, preppy kinds or nerds lol theres enough of that.
