Where can I get a good skateboard for cheap?
Here’s our shop’s guide on how to buy a skateboard. It breaks down basically everything you’re going to want to look for when buying a board. The quality varies a ton on lots of components. Main things you want to look for is that the trucks are metal, the wheels are poly urethane and the deck is 7 ply (or more) maple. As someone said below, if you go to a skateboard shop they probably won’t carry anything that is terrible quality. But that guide is a good starting point to understand what you want and serious things to avoid when buying a board. Generally a good complete starts around $90CAD, anything below that is probably going to give you problems.

You need to find a good skate shop in your area. You can check online but your phone book will probably serve you better. Sporting goods stores, Walmart, Shopko, Pro skate shops. Call around and then go check out what they have. Good luck.
Are Airwalk skateboard brands good?
Airwalk is a good shoe company, but their skateboards may be risky. World Industries tend to be cheaply made and seem to sell mainly to younger kids looking at the cool cartoons on the bottom. My first board ever was a World Industries and my older brother thought it was waterlogged when he rode it, but it was actually brand new. I've never heard of Kryptonics, which pretty much speaks for itself. For whatever it's worth, Habitat has been by deck of choice for the majority of my skating career.

No, DO NOT buy a board from a general sporting goods store unless they sell real stuff. Big 5 does not stock real skateboards so avoid their boards. Go find a local skate shop or if you can't, look around online for different sites and compare prices. ccs.com is a good place to start, but try to find other sites too.

So is EMillion (EMillion Skateboarts). There’s also the big skate companies you’d find in the Tony Hawk or SKATE games, but the list is overwhelming right about now.As far as Plan B goes, Josh and John both mentioned Warehouse Skateboards (The Only Place for Skateboards & Everything Skateboarding!); this company is great if you want the choice to either assemble your own deck and have it made to order or just want to order a pre-assembled deck instead.
