What Are Some Good Tips For Staying Concentrated On A Subject

How can I concentrate on the most boring subject to study?

Stop looking at the subject in terms of the contents. What I mean by this is that you should try to find something different to focus on that the actual contents of what is being taught.I was once sitting in a weekend seminar (20 hours in 3 days) of the most boring subject in the world to me. It was something I had to take in order to graduate so I did, but I almost fell asleep half an hour into the course. After another 30 minutes I realized how stupid I was. Here I was sitting in this course, spending my time here when having hundreds of other options… But, since I had to be here, I might as well make it worth my time.I then looked at my situation and asked myself “What can I focus on that will actually benefit me?”Over the next three days I focused on various things that had nothing to do with the actual curriculum! Some of them were:The presentation of the professor. What did they do that I could copy to speak better? What things are they doing that I should avoid?Active listening. How can I listen effectively so that I remember more?Better note-taking. How can I simplify my notes to be only about the really crucial information?Having fun in the moment. How can I enjoy this? What are some strategies I could try out to have more fun?How long can I stay disciplined and listen regardless of whether or not I like it? Focusing on being disciplined for myself. Not because I like the subject but to prove to myself that I can.I basically made a science out of anything I could do that wouldn’t be directly related to the boring subject matter, or just a completely different approach other than “I need to study this.”Become creative with your concentration and your reasoning and your focus will improve dramatically! As a bonus, one of my favorite ways to do work I do not like doing is focusing on these thoughts:It is not about you. It is about your dream.Who cares if you feel like learning this? Who cares about whether it is fun or not? Does everything have to be perfect for you to work on this?Get over yourself and just do it anyway! Not for you right now, not for anyone else, but so that you get the future you always wanted!

Why i can't concentrate in school?

Try this easy to do thing. When you are in class, stare at a point somewhere above central eye level, and stare at it hard. Put all your concentration in that point, and wait a short few seconds like 20 seconds, and notice how in no time at all while you continue to stare at that point, you notice things in your outer (peripheral) vision. as yo continue to only look at that point, notice that you can put your concentration into the other things on the outer rims of your vision, whilst looking only at the point. If you do this, and start noticing thigns in the other areas of your vision, withought actually looking at them, you will feel a change in your consciousness. You will be more focused, and the internal voices will quieten, and you will concentrate much more. and continue when you are looking at the class or the teacher to look with your whole eyes, look at the person, but at the same time see the things all around your eye sight also, the posters, cupboards, doors, other people in the class, see and absorb it all. You will find you can concentrate like nobody else in the class.

A specific word meaning "to stay on subject"?

I'm trying to think of a specific vocabulary word that means to stay or keep relevant to the subject or event. anyone know it? I think it starts with a C or D and is between two to three syllables,

Hi, tips for studying one day before exam?!!?

I don't know what kind of exam is it???

1) Re-writing your notes.
2) Going through every problem discussed in class if it is math subject
3) Summarize your notes into one page
4) Keep asking yourself a question on every confusing item in your notes. Everything must have a purpose.
5) Read and understand every definition and by reading it and use mental imagery and make examples of it if you can.
6) Get online help if you don't understand something.
7) Stay in your room and study. Close the tv, avoid distraction.

Having trouble focusing my subject with a Canon SD600?

In your Menu, manually set your focus to the center dot or the center bracket (depending on whether you have dots or brackets in your viewfinder!). Then, point your camera at your subject so that the center dot/bracket is directly on the subject. Hold the shutter button down halfway until it focuses. Keep it held down half-way, move the camera to compose the shot, and press it all the way down.

By manually setting the center focus point, you will know that the camera will ONLY focus on what you point that center dot at. Once it's focused, you can move the camera all over the place and your subject will still stay in focus. :)

I hope this helps! I use manual focus whenever I can, but I also have crappy vision without my glasses and when I'm outdoors shooting with a circular polarized filter on my lens, I can't even see through my viewfinder with my linear-polarized prescription shades on. It's just like looking through cracked glass. So during those times I have to rely on autofocus to get the shot. :)
