Gone are the days when, if I wanted a lipstick, I had to decide whose lipstick I wanted and go to the appropriate counter. Now, I walk in to Sephora, tell them that I want a new lipstick with a pop of color, not matte, not a gloss stick, and don’t want to spend more that $20. And they give me choices! This is fantastic! The same goes for moisturizer or eyeshadow or anything else: all of a sudden, instead of being forced to be loyal to a brand, a store is loyal to me!I don’t know if there’s much of a difference between the stores, but they represent a seismic shift to cosmetic consumers.
