HELP! argumentative essay on technology?!?
need help on an argumentative essay about how technology is changing how we talk, a few good points would be good, basically I'm agreeing that technology is changing social interaction - such as internet, cell phones etc.
How is technology affecting child development?
I saw a show stating that today's tv shows and movies use so many frames that change so fast, that there is a concern on how it may affect a child's ability to concentrate on things that are not the same sped up fast paced introduction. The attention that must be used to keep up with this format that tv is using, you can notice kids so absorbed that they do not hear when they are called to dinner etc. It was very interesting. Texting, is something that is taking away social skills, anonymous conversations with strangers, and youths inability to understand that the person on the other end is not face to face with them, and both can react so differently than if they were face to face. Less interaction with parents, both parents work, the child's is entertained using dvds, radios, Ipod, cell phones, less real family interaction.. Technology on the whole has enhanced mankind, but on the individual level, it has some very damaging, and unnatural life alterings, and it seems to only be getting worse.
How important is technology?
Literally, at every instant of time, we are surrounded by technology.Whatever you are working or resting, you are always using technology.It is used everywhere and all the times.Its use has made life easy. We need technology. It’s important.Technology has boosted every industry.Businesses have grown, creating more employment opportunities.Advancements in technology have led to the evolution of newer and faster modes of transport and communication.The application of technology has boosted research in fields ranging from generics to extraterrestrial space.The computer and Internet technologies are ubiquitous.They have changed every sector; be it medicine, tourism, education, entertainment or any other.Technology has touched every aspect of life, making it easier, better and different.Technology has changed living.It has changed the way people communicate.Communication systems have evolved from pigeons carrying messages to emails and instant messages that traveling distance in seconds.Cellular technology and satellite communication have increased communication speeds and made “connecting” easier.At the heart of every piece of technology is automation.Technology automates the most complex of processes, be it in communication, education, medicine or any other industry.Nothing else has changed living the way technology has. And that’s exactly why technology is so important today and will always be.
