What Are Some Most Ridiculous Terms Of Endearment

Hebrew/Yiddish terms of endearment?

Hi guys! I m writing a story which involves a pair of twins who are very close and speak to one another in Hebrew and/or Yiddish, as they grew up in a Jewish family. The problem is, my Hebrew is very limited, and I don t know any Yiddish. What I m looking for is a couple of terms of endearment that siblings would use for each other.

Thanks so much!!!

What terms of endearment can I call my boyfriend?

I feel awkward if I call him any petnames.

lately I've only called him "love" a handful of times.

what else can I call him? i feel weird calling him "babe" because I feel like that's for boys to call girls.

i feel stupid.. plus i'm shy

What is your favorite "term of endearment" for your loved one?

Mine is "Cariad". It's a Welsh word, and there's no direct English translation. Essentially it means "Beloved" and can be used for either the single most important adult in your life, or any of your children. But beyond "Beloved," the word Cariad carries images of holding close, of keeping warm against the storm in a thick-knit Welsh wool blanket, of doing every thing you can, come rain come snow, come all the world and Hell besides, to keep them safe and bring them smiles, to be the one thing constant when the world is fear and misery and stress. My Cariad is wonderful and special, and snorts if ever you try to tell her so. But when in quiet moments I can turn and hold her, whisper "I love you Cariad" in her ear, she'll squeeze my hand a litle tighter, and know the meaning deeper than the commonplace endearment.

Do you think it's odd for fathers to use terms of endearment like "sweetheart" and "honey" for their sons?

GOD people are so weird nowadays!! All this PC crap is going too far. "Gender neutral"??? Seriously???? *groan*...

It's perfectly fine. But what has happened in this world is that everyone is suspicious of gays and child molesters, now *everyone* gets a label if they're not "gender neutral" or extremely careful about how they act or with what they say. Too many judges, too many snoops, too many suspicious, paranoid people. First they're telling us what habits we can have. Then they're telling us what we can weigh, feed our children, raise our children, etc etc etc. now they're telling us what terms of endearment we can use toward each specific child? "Too many cooks spoil the stew"...too many people butting into other peoples lives and acting like judges. People seriously need to start becoming more concerned with their own lives and letting others live theirs - until the control freak judges (with sick, paranoid minds) start paying our bills, they need to shut the hell up.

Jeez...this paranoia is getting out of control....we'll never get back to a gentler, more relaxed society with all this homophobic, suspicious intrusions into privates lives is going on.

In your world, is "weirdo" a term of endearment?

My world's mixed up. Like if you tell me you hate me I'd gush. If you throw a cheesy pick-up line I'd fall in love with you. If you tell me I'm hot I'd walk away. If you call me a bad word, I'd laugh and say thanks. But weirdo?
Dude, that's the highest form of flattery there.
