What are some movies similar to these movies: Inside Out, The little Prince, Wreck-it Ralph? I am not interested in any of the other Pixar movies.
A) Out of those, only Inside Out is a Pixar movie, but anyway…B) I haven’t seen The Little Prince, but in both Wreck-It Ralph and Inside Out, the characters explore another universe, discover new places, and learn new lessons, so I’ll try to give you some movies with a main concept similar to that.Bolt- A dog who thinks he has superpowers (because he’s a superhero on a tv show) tries to save his owner, thinking she’s actually in danger when she’s only in danger in the show, which results in him getting lost in the city. With the help of his arch-enemy, a cat, and his biggest fan, a hamster, he has to get back to his home without the superpowers he thinks he has.Tangled- A remake of the fairytale Rapunzel in which Flynn Rider finds her tower, tries to rescue her, but Rapunzel thinks he invaded the tower and forces him to take her to the see a ceremony where thousands of paper lanterns are released into the sky… but her mother can’t find out. So, instead of Rapunzel being rescued, it’s more of Rapunzel being the leader… with no idea what waits outside her tower.Back to the Future- A classic that you’ve probably at least heard of. In this movie, Marty McFly accidentally uses Doc Emmett Brown’s time machine and goes back to 1955. He accidentally makes his mom fall in love with him, so he then has to get his parents back together AND get back to the future.Holes- An extremely unfortunate kid is accused of stealing, resulting in him being sent to a camp (a concentration camp to some degree) where they all have to dig holes in the desert until the strike treasure.The Departure (it’s a Japanese film but you can get English subtitles)- After the orchestra goes broke, a cello player has to find a new job. He does apply for one, but he doesn’t know what he’s signing up for. Now, he has to perform religious ceremonies that send people to the afterlife. So, basically, it’s this guy who gags at the thought of corpses preparing them for departure. It’s not a movie promoting religion. If you don’t mind reading subtitles, it’s a great movie.
