What Are Some Pc Video Games That Are Single Player

Any good single player pc games out?

Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are two very good single player only games. So is Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, though Brotherhood does have multi player in it. Also, Just Cause 2 is a VERY good free roam single player game. You should definitely try these. Also, Civilization IV and V are both very good games.

Why do people say single player games are dying?

Am I crazy or insane to like to just sit down and play a video game with a competent story and a good gameplay style... BY MYSELF???

I get playing online with your friends -- your ACTUAL friends in real life and not a bunch of losers to pathetically pretend to be your friends -- but more and more it's hard to find good games that aren't socially driven.

I've read comments from game developers who state single player games are eventually going to be out of style. This just seems like complete and utter bullsh*t to me.

Please tell me I'm not crazy, and that other people actually enjoy single player games and don't need constant socialization in every aspect of your life.

Are the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games good for just single player?

Definitely! I love the STALKER series, totally adore it.

The gameplay is fun, and the world is very detailed and immersing. You actually get that very lonely creepy kinda feel as you walk through the zone, something that I felt the latest Fallout games kinda missed on, even if they were good in their own right.

I would warn that the dialogue is kinda crappy throughout all of them, but it's got a sort of endearing quality to it that makes it almost a feature rather than a let-down.

The multiplayer component is unnecessary, and the game isn't generally played for it. As far as the three go, Call of Pripyat is the over-all best in my opinion, but Shadow of Chernobyl is a close second, Clear Sky is not quite as good as the other two, but still acceptable.

One of my worst scares in gaming occurred on Shadow Of Chernobyl, when I encountered my first Blood Sucker. I spent the rest of that game making scared little whimpering sounds any time I had to go into an area like the one I encountered the first Blood Sucker in.

There's also plenty of mods for the games, that add to the game and potentially make them funner and/or more creepy.
