What Are Some Political Messages

Does the movie "300" have a political message?

I mean, did the filmmakers intend to make a political comment or statement about the MODERN world? What is it, and please explain.

(Please don't answer if you haven't seen the film.)

What is political messaging?

Political messaging is also commonly known as 'spin.' It is the practice of carefully highlighting positive facts that favor the story you wish to tell the voters while downplaying or ignoring the facts that work against the story you wish to tell the voters.Click: Bodner Law PLLC - General Business Law | Small Business Formation | Produce Law

What songs have political messages in them?

Just about any song written by Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd fame) since 1973. This especially includes his solo work (Radio KAOS and Amused to Death in particular) as well as the entire Pink Floyd albums "The Final Cut" and "Animals". His re-imagining of "The Wall" is now 100% political. As for individual songs Pink Floyd had with political messages, Goodbye Blue Sky, Another Brick in the Wall Parts One and Two, Us and Them, Pigs, Dogs, and Brain Damage. (Just off the top of my head.) As for other bands... punk is what you want, as politics was a large part of their raison d'etre: The Ramones: Censorsh*t and Bonzo Goes to Bitburg were very notable, and I highly recommend both. (Interesting that one is against a Democrat and one is against a Republican.) The "Bonzo" song, in my opinion, set the gold standard for a political protest song. Sex Pistols: God Save the Queen, and Anarchy in the UK. Stiff Little Fingers: Alternative Ulster.  And some of those good old songs from Woodstock, such as Country Joe and the Fish with his "1-2-3-What Are We Fighting 4?" (The Vietnam Song.) The 1980's saw a lot of political songs as well. "Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, was one of many.

What other novels are there that have a political message, such as Nineteen Eighty-Four?

It depends what you mean by 'political'. First, let me point out that every novel has a message, even if not intended. For example, in a chick lit novel, the message conveyed would be that 'normal life' is, well, 'normal' and romance/love is 'good'. You may not notice these messages, because they're so common, but it still exists. So, there are novels which actually set out to deliberately make a point; and most/all dystopian novels make a point about society, but that doesn't necessarily need to be about government. A lot of Philip K. Dick's stories involve talking about society, for instance; like a short story he wrote where children could be 'aborted' up until age 10 - that's 'political'.I would suggest 'The Moon is A Harsh Mistress' by Robert A. Heinlein.'Nation' by Terry Pratchett.'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley - how has no-one said this yet?And two lesser known dystopian novels:'1990' by Wilfred Greatorex and'The Cure' by Michael Coleman.

What the Lion King Political Message?

A monarchy as Mufasa is a king and Simba is the crown prince(Eldest son of the king and next in line to rule as king.)When Simba is with Timon and Puma, it is government by mutual agreement or a Democracy.Scar is a Dictator as he won't listen to his subjects, even when it makes sense. And it is a coup de entant,or removal of the Dictator by force when Simba fights him for his throne.

What political message is intended by this Political cartoon? (1871)?

This is an anti-union cartoon.

It shows the working man who supports the union is harming his own and his family's interests. The big print in the 'Workingmen's Association' poster shows the promise of unionism, the small print shows (what the cartoonist feels is) the truth - that it harm's workmen and their families.

I have no idea how the above poster interpreted it as showing the Unionist was enslaved by capitalism. it instead shows he is being duped by unionism.

Also note the caption 'The workingman's mite', which is a reference to the Biblical story of the widow's mite, and perhaps also a pun on 'might' (power). A mite in this context is a small contribution.

It also shows the solid citizen who uses the bank to save for his own future is also helping the whole of society by helping build business and wealth. The contrast is marked, and the lesson is obvious: Unions bad, banks and saving good.

What is the political message in the play "frogs" by Aristophanes?

The most definite political topic in Aristophanes is naturally that which touches the life-and-death struggle between the Athenian and Spartan leagues. He is the spokesman of the peace party, and four of his plays are passionate and eloquent pleas for peace. No one can doubt their sincerity; but here again we look in vain for any lofty ideal of politics; nor is there any trace of the poet's having felt very deeply the issues at stake in this war, while seldom does he betray any strong sympathies or antipathies as regards the different types of Greek people drawn into this mortal conflict.
