What are some advantages and disadvantages of marketing managers?

Advantages:
You have more freedom in your schedule and aren't tied to a desk for 40+ hours a week.
You get to meet new people all the time.
You get to travel (trade shows and such) to build more clientele.
You paycheck has no limit- you are paid based on how well you and your team do.

Disadvantages:
You could end up working for weeks on one account and not have it go through- and you don't get paid for you efforts, only results.
You can be on the road for extended periods of time and away from your family.
You are responsible for all the members of your team and their production levels. (If your team doesn't work, you will not get commissions from them.)

What are advantages and disadvantages of competition for buyers and sellers?

Buyers want competition usually, it creates a fight for their purchase, which means that sellers have to convince the buyer that their deal is better. Often in America there is a fairly set price, but in many countries people barter in a market for what they buy. If buyer (B) finds some product (X) they want/need, but only one seller (S) they have to pay S what S demands for X or not get X, if there are multiple sellers (numbered), it goes something like this:
B asks for X, S1 offers X for $20, S2 offers for 19, S1 for 18, and so on until one seller decides they cannot sell cheaper and stay in business. usually, the more competition, the easier to get a better price.
In America and other non-barter cultures, competition just means that set prices must stay fairly low in most cases. If there were only one company selling X, and it was something people need, they could mark it up ridiculously and people would have no choice but to pay. When another company begins to sell X cheaper, people will flock to the cheaper, forcing the first company to lower prices or fold. So competition in a free market is also good for buyers.

Though you did not ask, it is also a related topic that the government has an influence on the market with taxes, and I would say that the less government is involved, the better. Obviously there need to be laws in place for safety, but as far as what can be sold and at what prices, if the government were less involved it would probably allow better opportunity and so more competition. Just speculating though.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the large size of the roman empire?

Advantages: Huge revenue, trade, resources, markets etc; large cultural base in order to enrich your own culture, especially in technology. Large populations, good for levying troops eg German cavalry, Cretan archers etc. The longer you are in control, and do it right, and offer Roman citizenship with its associated rights, the less likely they are to rebel.

Disadvantages: First and foremost, administration, especially governorship. Corruption leads to discontent, which leads to rebellion. So you have to be able to trust your governors. During the Republic, that government was totally unsuited to running an empire, too many cooks spoilt the broth. A large empire (empire meaning A group of states or other territories that owe allegiance to a foreign power) needs to be run by a single person.

What are the advantages / disadvantages of having a full premium no freemium model vs free trial model vs freemium vs premium for SaaS?

It’s a loaded questions, so let’s break it down. The first question that should be answered is - are we going to allow prospects to try(use) your product before they buy?If the answer to this question is yes then we have a few customer acquisition models how to allow prospects to try your product - Freemium, Free Trial (open), or Gated Free Trial. If you still believe that enterprise software / SaaS companies should force prospects to speak with sales reps before showing the demo or giving access to a proof of concept (POC) or free trial, I suggest reading a few studies of how self-service option becomes a must have in SaaS to address raising customer expectations (more on this in the article: Freemium vs Free Trial vs Hybrid Customer Acquisition Model in SaaS.Premium SaaS product can be offered through freemium or free trial. Just think about Slack, Asana, Dropbox, Zenefits, Zoom, InVision, Atlassian, and list goes on. Therefore, the premium vs freemium is not correct comparison. If you decide to let prospects try your product before they buy you will have to decide between Freemium and Free Trial customer acquisition models.Freemium vs Free Trial: The Pros and ConsNext, let’s consider the tradeoffs between freemium and free trial models. Some companies don’t support a freemium strategy because it can cost too much to serve free customers, yet many companies find the freemium model effective. Remember: a freemium product does not limit the amount of time a prospect can access the software, but often limits users in some way, such as through stripped-back features or allowed amount of usage. Slack employs a freemium model, and so do Zoom, Dropbox, and Asana. Companies such as Atlassian, Github, and Twilio focused on the developer market also start with a freemium. The pros and cons of freemium and free trial are highlighted in the table below:To read more about types of freemium and why most companies fail with freemium read: Freemium vs Free Trial vs Hybrid Customer Acquisition Model in SaaS.
