What Are Some Quick And Easy Meals For Going On A Beach Vacation

Where's a cheap exotic vacation destination?

I'm not sure where you're coming from. I'm from Michigan and over the last decade (plus), I've done quite a bit of traveling to various places in the Caribbean, Mexico, and to Costa Rica. Generally, the airfare is half the cost of the trip. From experience, some of the most inexpensive places I have been include the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and parts of Mexico(like Cancun or Cozumel). My favorite place is Cozumel- very laid-back atmosphere with great snorkeling/diving and enough activities, bars, restaraunts to keep you busy for a week or so. Don't know what your definitiion of "cheap" is so a couple of basic hotels to check out in Cozumel are the Casa Del Mar and the Hotel Barracuda. Went to Negril, Jamaica a few years ago all-inclusive in March for under $600 per person and stayed at the Hotel Sam Sara (which was like a one star hotel but was adequate for us). Sam Sara is on the cliffs with no beach, a small pool and little activity (which was actually nice); the food was okay but the meals got routine and boring so we simply walked across the street for breakfast at Choices or went out to one of the bar/restaraunts (LTU and Kayuba were good). Best thing about Sam Sara is that it had a sister resort-Legends-on the beach so if you stayed at either you could take the free shuttle to the other resort and spend the day(and eat, use the facilities, etc. like anyone staying there) which we regularly did; when we had our fill of the busy beach and being "solicited" by the locals (because the beaches are public anyone can roam them thats why cliff beaches are quiter/more private) we returned to our quiet little resort. Dominican Republic and Cancun are also places that offer good deals because they can offer cheaper prices due to the large number of tourists they bring in; Cancun is for the person that likes the beach and loves to party and the Dominican may be best for the person that just likes to stay at their (usually quite luxurious) resort. Look at www.gocozumel.com or www.negril.com or www.dominicanrepublic.com and www.cancun.com to help you out. If I can be of any more help, message me.

What are some cheap, easy, and simple meals to cook?

I make a big pot of soup and refrigerate it for a week and there's always lots of leftovers, and it's really good. Not like those canned chunky or condensed soups either, home made soup tastes way better. And it's pretty easy to cook.

Cook a couple pounds of beef cutlets, or ground beef. I always use season-all on mine. And then once its fully cooked, place into a pot. Then cut up some potatoes, carrots, celery and onion and add into the pot. Then just add 1 beef bullion cube per cup of water and let cook on low-medium for about an hour. My boyfriend loves it. He makes me so mad though because he always steals the cuts of beef from out of the pot lol.

You can make some of the foods you listed that you don't want more tasty. For example, whenever I'd make ramen noodles, I'd add in a slice of cheese. It made a world of a difference! Be sure to make it less soupy though, otherwise the cheese won't mix well. For the grilled cheese, I always add a couple slices of sandwich meat. If I don't feel like grilling them I will put the bread, cheese and lunchmeat in the microwave and heat it for 30 seconds, and it comes out great. You can make tons of things with ground beef - tacos are fairly cheap and really good. Cook 1lb ground beef, add in one packet of taco seasoning, and make tacos, taco salads, or nachos. Just add lettuce, tomato, onion, and shredded cheese (salsa also if you prefer..I love it). You can store the leftover meat in the fridge for a couple days for leftovers as well, which turn out almost just as good as first made.

Another ground beef meal you can make is hamburger rice/potatoes. Cook a pound of ground beef with season-all, and mix into white rice or mashed potatoes. You can add a can of gravy to it for extra flavor, but either way it turns out good. Tator tot hot dish is cheap and easy. Buy a bag of tator tots (which can make 2-3 hot dishes), a can of Cambells beef or vegetable beef soup, and some instant white rice. Cook a cup of white rice in the microwave, then in a cooking pan add the soup (without the extra can of water), the rice and then layer the top with tator tots. You can sprinkle seasoning on the top if youd like. Then bake for about 20-25 minutes on 400.

Hope this helps!

What are the essential things to carry while going to a beach?

When you become excited about a beach excursion, you never need to leave anything behind. That could ruin your plans big time. So in order for one to not forget anything, here is a whole group of items you want to bring with you for a beach excursion.SwimsuitIf everything else goes wrong, you can still say you went for a beach trip if you bring a swimsuit and enter the water. Without it, not only would you not be able to swim, but you also wouldn't be able to look like a normal man lounging at the beach.SunscreenSunscreen is fantastic, though, since it is easily applicable and it is going to save your skin (literally) from over just sunburns.Sunhat & SunglassesThe sunglasses will be to guard your eyes from the harsh rays from sunlight, but more importantly, so you look fly. The sunhat is also there for the protection from the harsh rays of the sun, and as a bonus that makes you look super fly.BlingPretty much everyone likes to stand out, It’s kinda hard to pull off because everyone’s pretty much dressed the same, which is to say to the bare minimum. Jewelry can be the key to this. you can stand out by wearing gemstones rather than precious stones. Take lapis lazuli for example. It’s a beautiful stone that stands out from anything you put beside it. In terms of its value, compared to almost any other jewelry out there, lapis lazuli jewelry is incredibly affordable.Beach ClothesYou should try and become the aura of"going to the beach" itself. What that basically means is that you should dress appropriately, but really nicely. A bunch of cute swimsuits will be good to bring, together with lightweight linens.Read More About How To Fly For Your Beach Trip

First time family trip to Honolulu Hawaii beginning of December! Planning help!?

Hi everyone, my family and I (2 adults, 16,13 and 7 year old) are planning a trip to Honolulu Hawaii beginning of December and would love some advice planning. So far the flight, hotel and rental car totals to about $4500. We will be going for 8 nights/9 days approx.
With a family our size what would be the average daily cost for meals? And what kind of activities are recommended for kids this age group? I hear that is not cheap, by far,but any tips would be great.
Any advise or traveling and making the best of our first family vacation together in Hawaii would be so appreciated! Any input would be awesome! Thank you all in advance!

First family vacation to Disney World/Orlando........any tips???

Great family vacation.First, check the weather as soon as you get there or before hand, go to the beach on the warmest days. As you check in, ask about events for the week. Make sure you find out if any of the parks or areas are closed. Do you belong to AAA? They have great info there. If not, ask someone that does. They could pick up maps, upcoming show info, etc. I would suggest going to the parks just after breakfast or when the parks open (less crowded). Zip when people Zag. I mean, go to the back of the park first cuz most people start right in the front. You will have the run of the place (back of the place I mean). Don't forget to catch the daily parade at Disney. Then, take the afternoon easy, relax with boating or in your room, napping helps cuz you will want to schedule an activity for the evening, go to dinner then catch a show (Lion King was there when we visited) and then the evening fireworks. Last but not least, schedule a "Character Breakfast", my kids loved this, we had breakfast with Tigger and Winnie the Pooh. You have to check this out as soon as you get there. It fills up quickly. Your hotel desk can give you info of who's available at what hotel for breakfast or lunch. Have a blast!
