Who sings these two songs?

I love this song!!!=).....it's so cute, even when was the time I couldn't understand its lyrics, I used to enjoy as much as I do now.
It's BJ Thomas, I have his cd with his best songs.
Here it goes its Lyrics too, if you feel to sing it.

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

[trumpet]

It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

What songs are these two melodies from?

Two problems make this question really hard to answer:1) It's nearly impossible to tell the rhythm from the notes you've provided, and2) I find that when I've had a melody in my head for a long time it's invariably morphed into something slightly different from its original source. That said, I think I have a match for your second tune. Coldplay's Paradise: Listen to the vocalization about 30 seconds in:

How similar are these two songs?

tell you what, its kind of a record competing tactic where people try to bring in something so similar. Its a shame that it happensIll give you 2 examples.01) Sara Bareilles - Brave vs Katy perry - RoarListen, observe and note how close their basslines match. These 2 could be easily, mashed up. I personally prefer Sara bareilles02) Snow patrol - chasing cars vs Vega4 - Life is beautifulAgain it pretty much boils down to whose song came in first or whatever, here im siding with snow patrolAnd im sure its less to do with the artist, more to do with the producers and record executives throwing something similar to compete in the market.

Somebody by Fleetwood Mac (Bob Welch era)Somebody by AerosmithBoth songs are favorites off of 2 of my favorite LPs.

What are the two songs, when played back to back sound like one big song?

I have always liked the way that “Hey Lawdy Mama” runs into “Magic Carpet Ride” at the start of side 4 of Steppenwolf Live (1970) - Steppenwolf Live - WikipediaAnd of course "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" segues abruptly after "Polythene Pam" from the Beatles on Abby Road. I can ’t imagine hearing either song without the other - She Came In Through the Bathroom Window - Wikipedia

What is the best of these two songs..Hotel California or Stairway To Heaven?

Something to consider is that Stairway to Heaven was released about five years prior to Hotel California. And Led Zeppelin is certainly one of the first big name acts to play around with more intricate arrangements, Stairway to Heaven being arguably the best example of that in rock music still today. I suspect it influenced in some small way The Eagle’s arrangement of Hotel California. That said, The Eagles were a great band that most rock fans find the time to put down. I find defending their legacy to be difficult. I think it’s because they come off as a little slick and over-produced at times. And let’s face it, Glenn Frey was a bit of a goof and definitely arrogant. I remember an interview where he was talking about how Hotel California was the best album ever made and started rattling off song titles. I agree it’s a great album, but heed your own advice and take it easy.Truthfully, these two songs have been so over-played in my lifetime that I find it hard to squeeze any more joy or intrigue out of them. But every now and then, they catch me off guard and I’m reminded of their greatness.

Do the melodies of the two songs, "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me and "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" , The Classic by Van Morrison sound similar?

I listened to both of these songs and I don’t hear any melodic similarities. However, I’m glad to have revisited both these songs.MercyMe’s “I Can Only Imagine,” depends almost entirely on its two-chord piano intro/riff. It doesn’t have a particularly strong vocal melody. The words are something about meeting Jesus after you die but quite vague, with more questions than answers. The phrase “I can only imagine” is used 19 times. It’s supposedly the best-selling Christian single ever, but I have to wonder why.Van Morrison’s 1989 love ballad, on the other hand, is much more spiritual and reverent than MercyMe’s tune. Just the piano intro is exquisite and prayerful. The melody and chords are lovely and the words are simple, clear and profound. It’s a love song, popular at weddings, but it’s a prayer, too. Morrison has always been a songwriter who’s able to comfortably mix the secular with the sacred.
