What Are Some Things A 17 Year Old Should Bring To Universal Orlando Trip

17 and 18 year olds go on a road trip?

So basically, here’s what’s up. Me and three of my friends want to take a road trip, two of us are 17, and the other two are 18. We will drive from where we live in Kansas to Louisiana then spend a few days there and head to Orlando for about a week. We will pay for all our own stuff. And was goanna take my car. So I’m not paying for gas, but my other friends are. We want to go to Louisiana because we all think it would be a really awesome place to visit, but were only going to spend a few days there, then were goanna head to Orlando where we plan on going to Disney world and universal. We plan on going June 10th through the 20th were out of school and it’s ALL of our senior trips. Everyone’s parents have already agreed but mine, my parents are REALLY strict and won’t even let me go out of town, little loan the states, so how would I go about convincing them? And more so would you let your kids go? I have no problem checking in every few hours and what not. I understand completely. We have the costs figured, and everything planed. We just need to book our rooms and our tickets, and then were set.

How old do you have to be to go to Universal Orlando without an adult?

We are also going to see The World of Harry Potter in July... and we can hardly wait.

I called the park to ask them your question and they said:

You have to be 17 years or older AND have an ID of some kind (school, driver's license, etc.) to prove your age.
Sorry to tell you. :-(

You can also just call them to verify.

General Information
Main Number: 407-363-8000

PS. One may "doubt" my answer, but I called and asked myself. The number is above. Call and ask yourself. If others can sneek in or walk in without being checking, so be it. I guess you can give it a shot, but dont let your ride drive off until you are inside or you might be standing outside a long, long time.

Where can a 17 year old get a hotel room in or around Orlando, fl?

Me and my friend want to go to the universal studios in Orlando but our parents can't come. I'm 17 and he's 16, and we want to stay for at least 3 nights. We have the money and everything but all the hotels say you have to be 18 to check in! We're not really worried about quality and stuff, just a room with a shower. Help!!!

Which is better: Walt Disney World or Universal Studios?

Warning: This question is extremely subjective and is based upon my experience with Disney World and Universal Studios(Orlando)Personally, I think Disney World is far better than Universal Studios. While Universal Studios Orlando does have two parks (Islands of Adventute is the winner of the two), Disney World can brag about having SIX parks (4 amusement,2 Water parks), this diversity in theme parks allows guests to customize their experience in more ways than I have with Universal. The second reason why I think Disney World is better than Universal is kinda an obvious reason, guest experience. Disney Theme Parks make sure(Disney World especially) that once you have entered their gates you have left the world behind and you are their honored guest. Now to be fair Universal has accomplished this illusion with Harry Potter world( Again, this is why Islands of Adventure is the winner) but other than that the illusion fades fast. This is something that I value more than thrill rides, Disney’s constant attention to detail and guest experience, which is why Disney keeps me coming back again and again.

Will kennedy space center be fun/interesting for a 5 & 8 year old?

I went there when I was around 4 or 5 for the first time and I just thought it was amazing. Seeing it for the first time is just one of those things that will amaze you. I don't think I could ever forget that trip.

I think that the 8 year old will have a better understanding of what it is and get more educational value out of it. While the 5 year old will just simply be amazed by everything.

I did have some interest in space and spaceships at the time, so that could also be one reason why I enjoyed it. But, if you think it is something that would interest your kids, I think they would like it. If they enjoy children museums, I think they would also enjoy the Kennedy Space Center.

What 3 Disney World Parks are the best to take a 5 year old?

Since you are taking a 5 year old, don't even consider skipping the Magic Kingdom. In my opinion, that is where the Disney magic lives. On a cool morning you take the ferry boat from the Ticket and Transportation Center across the lake to the Magic Kingdom. The castle gets closer and the excitement builds. You get through the turnstiles and wait for the opening ceremony. The train pulls into the station and an assortment of Disney Characters get off to welcome you to the Magic Kingdom. Then they open the gates and you walk right down Main Street USA. Smell the cookies baking. See the castle in the distance. It is really wonderful.

Note that you do need to have a plan when you get there. If you spend 30 or 40 minutes milling around on main street you will get a bad start. Just know what you want to do first and stroll over to that attraction. No need to run. Just know where you are going, and go there.

Animal kingdom is another good choice. Then again, they are all good choices.

For the third day I would probably pick Hollywood Studios. It will be less ride oriented, but there are lots of good shows to see. Since this park is oriented around the shows, make sure you pick up a schedule at the front of the park.

One thing to remember. Ice cream can cure almost anything bad that can happen there.

Have fun. Wish I was going. The Magic Kingdom with a 5 year old can be a really neat experience.

Which is better for a first job for a 16-year-old, to work at Disney or Universal?

I'm biased, but Universal, unless you live in Kissimmee. Universal's easier to get to and from if you live in Orlando, the 408 and Kirkman and 528 go basically right to them, and if you want to deal with Colonial or I-4 you can do that too.I'd suggest avoiding attractions and foods. Revenue Operations is a good department though, I have a number of friends from my time there still working for them in management and merchandising. If you can, go to work with a third party vendor, you get all of the perks and none of the bullshit. Working third party there is one of the best jobs I ever had and it was my first real job.
