I have many ways for SAT prep!! 1- iNeedaPencil.com A FREE SAT prep website that has a lot to offer and is just GREAT to spot ur EXACT points of weakness. It is really helpful! 2- Collegeboard.com, what everyone recommends.. it has a free copy of a practice test that would help you know what exactly you should improve 3- Download audios that focus on SAT words and vocabulary, listen to them many times 4- Read magazine and news articles and probably try scientific articles and more advanced texts to get used to what you might read on the SAT 5- Practice math questions concerning the topics you might face on the SAT. Ask for help understanding topics and fast-solving from your Math teacher in school. 6- Learn how to read fast. Again, this needs practice. 7- Try to go online and search in website that has famous quotes and practice writing a topic based on whether u agree or disagree with the quote/saying. Most SAT topics just bring quotes and ask you if you agree or disagree with that idea. 8- practice spotting grammar mistakes and do grammar exercises on grammar websites.. google them.. 9- RELAX, try to have fun by using the fun ways to prepare!! and have a GOOD NIGHT SLEEP before the test!! last minute studying would probably do nothing but tire you
How do I study for the SAT in a week?
Mathematically, the lowest anyone can possibly score on the SAT is a 200. The highest anyone can score is a 2400 (Perfect). 3 million people take the SAT each year, but only about 500 score a 2400. There is nothing on the SAT test that isn't taught in high school. The 3 main sections are: Math (which includes Algebra, Geometry, story problems, and number patterns), English, and Critical Reasoning (Reading Comprehension). Each of these sections is scored up to 800 points. Then, there is a final written essay (which is scored between 2 and 12). Your final score is the composite. Is a week before too late to start studying? That depends upon the type of student you are. If you are an all "A" or "B" student who remembers just about everything they learn, then you should score a 1900 or higher. I never studied, was a "B" student, and still scored a 2010. Students who normally cram the night before tests and forget things a month or so after a test don't do well on tests like the SAT and must usually study for at least a month prior to the exam. The best way to study is with an SAT Study Book. At this late in the game, though, I wouldn't bother studying, as you'll likely end up panicking with the vast amount of potential material you would need to study. Take it blind, and if you do well - great. If you don't, buy a study book, spend a few months studying and use the free Online practice tests to gauge your progress and retake the test in June or September. Good luck!
What is the best plan to study for the SAT?
I gave the SAT in October last year, and got a score of 1520/1600. I had a month and a half to prepare for it. I did not join any paid coaching specifically for it.I am good with English and since I was preparing for IIT JEE and other engineering exams, my Math and mental ability portions were also covered properly.But of course, the SAT is a whole different deal, and so I prepared from Khan Academy. They have a tie-up with the College Board and host the official SAT practice on their site.Khan AcademyI used the site extensively in that period and practiced all the English and Math exercises till I mastered all the skills, and then gave the practice tests. In the four tests I gave, I had scores of 1470, 1480, 1540, 1470, so as you can see, the tests match the level of the real exam.Everything you need to prepare for the SAT is available at Khan Academy, best of all, for free! It's a great site, I've used it before to understand complex Physics and Math topics while preparing for the IIT JEE. They have videos explaining all sorts of topics, from microeconomics to multi-variable calculus.{Note- If you too are a JEE aspirant like me, you will notice that SAT Maths has some portions we have not been taught, in topics like Statistics. I had to learn from videos on Khan Academy}Here's another good site, this time specifically for online test preparation. I used their free material to prepare the TOEFL (scored 110), not the SAT, but I'm sure they have nice material for the SAT too.Magoosh Online SAT Prep & PracticeFor the SAT, make sure you are proficient at English. You'll have to be good and fast at reading long passages (like this answer), have a good grasp over grammar and vocabulary.Try the Magoosh Vocabulary Builder app, it does what it's name suggests. You can build your vocab for the SAT, TOEFL or GRE. I'm using it now for because it's fun, like a game. There are other good vocabulary apps like Volte and Knudge.me, as well. Haven't tried them extensively, however. The best way to improve your English is to read good literature, however. Since I'm an avid reader, I had not much to do in English while preparing for the SAT.If you're not into online preparation, start by buying some books for SAT preparation. I did buy and complete (mostly) the Barron's SAT book. However, I found Khan Academy more useful and helpful. I haven't tried any other preparation books, so I can't tell you which is the best SAT preparation series.

I took the SAT for the first time two months ago. I wanted to see how I would do (without much studying) so I would know what exactly I needed to work on. Since I knew I could take the test again. Now I know what I need to work on, but I'm pretty lost on how to go about doing it. I'm not looking for a fantastic score anything between 1600-1800 would be great for the school I want to get into.

Yes! If you are considering choosing between the tests, here are the main factors:The SAT has no calculator math. It’s quite short - only 20 questions - but that can really intimidate some people! A lot of the questions are not normally ones for which you’d use a calculator anyway, but there is quite a bit of mental math involved.The ACT requires you to read very fast and accurately. If you can’t do this, the SAT might be a better bet. The reading sections are quite similar - a passage of approx 800 words, and about 10 questions on it. The ACT has 4 of these, the SAT has 5. But for the ACT, you only get 35 mins, whereas for the SAT you get 65.Half of your SAT score is math, whereas on the ACT, it’s only a quarter.
