Good deep, thought-provoking, and/or depressing movies?
I want some really good movies (these are considered "dramas" i think) that make you stop and think "wow, this really made a good point" or makes your question things. Ones that really make an impact, even if it totally messes with your mind. That leave you slack-jawed and whispering "amazing..." Especially ones that hit "hard" topics (depression, suicide, murder, rape, etc). And it helps if it's depressing, since it seems all the really good movies are, because then they standout (like you know how if a main character stands out it can make more of a point?) I especially like sort of random movies. I'm so tired of straight-forward, thoughtless action (i do like, but want more), and I like comedy but not romantic comedy. some examples of what i've liked a beautiful mind; donnie darko (great!!); seven lbs; I am legend (alt. ending); The Hours (though slow); Sophie's Choice (long too) old boy (korean film) was ok I didn't like much: mystic river; butterfly effect; eternal sunshine of the spotless mind I also want dark humor. Along the lines of Little Miss Sunshine, and the Scary Movies were kind of. please, any ideas!!

can anyone explain me the purpose of the FIGHT CLUB movie? i think it is really non sense i hate it because i cant find the purpose of the main character. i love DeathNote because i understand why Light wants to be God but the narrator in thee fight club. he just not content of what he has. it's non sense but i still want to know what are your reasons why you love the Fight Club?
I feel depression creeping up to me slowly....how do i avoid it?
i've moved to a new place and i hardly know anyone there. Life seems pretty tough...i have no choice but to stay coz i just got a job there. How do i go on without feeling so lost and alone?
