What Are The Affects Of Being Raised Not Having Any Private Information Kept To Yourself

How do you keep yourself disciplined?

During the Indian Police Service (IPS) training, our daily morning PT (physical training) used to start with a warmup run of four laps (total 1.6 KM). It felt super hard in week one. We thought it will become easier once we got used to it, maybe after a few months. Here is the surprise: It never got easier. Running the four warmup laps was always painful, even when we were fit enough to do a cross country of 16 KM.The path of discipline is not easy, and will never be easy. Period. Why is it so hard to stay disciplined?Because we allow our mind to interfere in the path of discipline. Why do we fail to get up early in the morning? Because the mind says, “You are so tired and sleep deprived. Just sleep for 5 minutes more and it will be fine”. Then 5 becomes 10, and it is all the way downhill after that.We allow the fallacy that we will get up early or eat healthy or study well or do the right thing when we get used to it and it becomes a little easier. But it will NEVER get easier. It will never be easy to get up at 5 am, every single day of the year. Not now, not after 10 years. So what should you do? The answer is trivially simple, but also very hard. You have to stop listening to your mind. Just stop. No concession to what your mind says. When you have to do something hard, you have to become a robot. It does not matter how you feel. Who cares? Just execute the plan like a machine. That is the only way.If you decide to go for a run, get up and run. You will feel groggy and your legs will hurt. The pain you feel is exactly the pain everybody else feels. The pain of discipline is the price of happiness.People who win are those who keep going, regardless of how much it hurts.

Do I pose a legitimate chance of getting into MIT or Princeton?

Thanks for your information. I greatly appreciate your time. Just a few more details ;).

I go to a small private school that does not offer these "AP" classes, to counter balance that fact I have started "outsourcing" my classes to the community college by taking "duel credit" classes. (count for highschool credit and college.) I don't expect to transfer these hours to my university, however to an Ivy does "college hours" look as good on a resume as "AP" classes? Also a few more details about myself are listed below:

-I was the flight commander in Civil Air Patrol and improved my leadership skills in working with my peers in that activity.
-Held summer jobs at different places.
-I hope to get the National Merit Scholarship award if that matters to an Ivy.
-There are a ton of other "little" things I have done that I just do not have the space to write about.

Thanks again for your comments, I think I need to focus more on community service during these next two years!

Starting an a child adoption service.?

I am thinking of starting a child adopting agency here in southcarolina. I myself was adopted when I was only weeks old. I want to know where do I begin other than research. I don't know if I will ever adopt but I want to give back to kids that are needing safe and happy homes. Some people dont like to share info but if you have any suggestions I would gladly appreciate it the same. I am wanting to focus on an actual agency or a referral service of adoption. I want to be able to help the woman that are hurting an feel they have no where to turn. Thanks in advance for all your help and May god richly bless each of you.

What causes a lack of motivation?

When you've had it and it goes away, we have often just become too tired. Studying often interferes with passion. Learn to take short breaks, get enough sleep, eat healthy food, and surround yourself with positive people. Keeping a gratitude journal helps, too. Just make a list of 5 things a day you are grateful for, or enjoyed, or made you happy. You have to do that religiously, but it will give you great results.

A book I recommend is "Becoming a Master Student". It has great study ideas, personal development and career development suggestions.

Should I keep my bisexuality a secret?

Do what feels right. I'm a bisexual and kept it secret through most of high school. I went to a girls-only school and everyone would get paranoid and rude and avoid any girl who wasn't straight. There were two other bisexuals in our year who were total outcasts. In the end i had to tell my closest friend, she told me everything about herself. because we were so close she learnt to accept it, and i soon figured that i should tell all my friends as i couldnt hide a part of myself, they could learn to accept or not, etiher way they couldnt change me. Similarly if it feels wrong hiding your sexuality from your family, dont. I havent told my family and don't intend to, i always keep my love life private in any case. But no matter what your family say, they're going to accept it eventually, they're the closest people to you. Good luck whatever you chose to do ;)
