What Are The Bad Effects Of Gaming For A Lot Of Hours

Is masterbating 6 hours before a football game bad?

it is not bad at all

Is 10 hours of gaming too much?

Fortunately, there’s not a simple answer on that. The amount of time spent playing videogames is not, per se, good or bad. It depends on the things that you are not doing while spending time on games what matters; let’s imagine a situation. You’re an adult, working from 9:00 to 17:00. When you get home, you do some excercise and then start playing (let’s say at 19:00). You keep playing until 22:00, and then you stop, cook and have dinner. Then you get back to videogames (at 23:00, for example) and play until 6:00, when yo go to bed. You wake up at 8:00, having slept for two hours, and you feel absolutely destroyed for the rest of the day. In this example, the amount of time spent on videogames could be a problem because it does not let you get enough sleep, and that’s going to have an impact on your job, and you could get fired eventually.BUT, let’s imagine the same situation on holidays. You don’t have to go to the job, so you wake up at 11:00 and play until 14:00. After having lunch, you get back to videogames until 22:00, then you have dinner, excercise a liitle, stay with your family or go out with someone, until 01:00, when you go to bed. In this case, it probably won’t be a problem to spend 10 hours on videogames. So, as most prefessionals view it nowadays, time is not the only factor to have in mind when you’re playing; it’s the impact that it has in your life, and the important things that you are not doing, what really matter. In a more medical way, be aware that sitting for ten hours straight can be a problem for your body. But that’s not my field, so I cannot say specifically why.

Is 4 hours a week of gaming too much?

Gaming, as with any hobby, is healthy until it isn't. I know that sounds unhelpful, but that's really the standard you should be using when evaluating this question. There is no widely accepted evidence that video games directly cause long term negative effects on the body or mind. There are short term negative affects, specifically regarding eye strain, aggressiveness, and other mood problems, but they haven't been proved to be long term problems. Taking breaks during long sessions can alleviate these problems. So the real question is: are you neglecting other meaningful aspects of your life in order to game more? Are you sleeping less or at weird hours? Are you eating and drinking less? Are you not going to work? Are you not socializing as often as you like? Are you gaining weight due to less exercise? Are you spending too much money on microtransactions or software? Are you getting headaches? Etc. If any of these are true, think about reworking your schedule and cut back. If you can't stop despite having issues like this, seek some help. Anything can be psychologically addictive, including gaming.Or are you simply gaming in your free time as a healthy form of entertainment? If it's this, you're fine. For what it's worth, 4 hours per week is not that much time. Most likely you're okay.

What are the side effects after about 48 hours of no food?

To begin with Tears you answered your question about the side effects of 38 hours without food. Sleepy & tired. In about 48 hours you'll probally start feeling light-headed, like you're going to faint. Probally shaky, stomach growling. After that your body will try to help itself, by feeding on your muscles! :0

It's time to start eating!

The question is why are you not hungry? Are you sick? Taking new medications? Fasting to get rid of toxins?

After this it will be a foolish thing for someone to do intentionally! The Bible speaks of foolish people. I wouldn't want the world to think that someone who is so-o intelligent like yourself is foolish. Or to cause someone to stumble.

Please don't get offended about my blunt comment, because I really enjoy your Q & A on yahoo.

What are the effects of playing video games obsessively?

Any addiction is not good and gaming is not an exception . Addicted gamers will give more importance to the interactions in games than they give in real life. They skip meals, sleep less, can gain/lose weight due to significant playing and neglect their personal hygiene.Initially the idea of computer games is to provide entertainment and fun to people and help them to relax under stressful conditions. But over the years, gaming has been improved and we can see games that require a lot of thinking to play . The only way one can relax is by putting their mind to rest. But playing games which involves lot of deductive skills, high attention to detail etc will actually make the person tired after playing it and also turns into an addiction. For example playing match-3 games like Bejewelled,Luxor etc doesn't require a lot of thinking and makes one relax even they play for long hours . On the other hand,if one plays high-end FPS games like CallofDuty ,Battlefield etc for over 10-11 hours on a stretch,it is not good in any way. This is what I consider more dangerous. People who fall under this category will be less sociable and give less importance to their real lives because the type of addiction is more as the player wont stop until they finish the game completely. The addiction is less with low-end games like Bejewelled.Gaming addiction also differs with each person. Some are more interested in racing while others prefer sports, real time strategy etc.Over the years , I played games that are highly addictive. I remember playing 14-15 hrs daily on a stretch with games like DragonAge,MassEffect,AssassinsCreed that have massive single player campaigns. With my experience , I realized that with hardcore gaming one can improve their reflexive skills and also have better attention to detail than a non-gamer. I have also observed that long hours of gaming will also lead to lesser vision and sleep deprivation.

What are the negative effects of playing Counter-Strike for too long?

For me, well first of all I agree with most answers here that you get eye sores, I used to get those ALL THE TIME after like 3–4 hour sessions and it hurts because your eyes are all watery and you can't even see and it's all messed up. Sometimes during a game your eyes start to hurt but you gotta hold that angle, once I was playing and my sister came into the room and she thought I was crying or something and that was well embarrassing. Secondly, it gets annoying. I hate the fact that when you drop a 4k and your team messes it up and you lose the round, also when you get killed because somebody else wasn't doing their job, bad callouts or simply because you know, wallers. I've gone through a couple of keyboards just because I apparently banged them too hard after dying I mean cmon it gets frustrating, I'm surprised my mouse still works xD.

Can I shower after gaming?

Your eyes are hot? No, nothing will happen to you if you take a shower immediately after gaming.

I've played for 26 hours straight, showered for a solid two hours after (:D), fell asleep in the shower, had my boyfriend rescue me from drowning in there/my drool, and continued to play for about another three hours before falling asleep in my chair. That was a nice week..

There's no such thing as going blind from taking a shower after straining your eyes. All I can say is make sure you blink while playing to keep your eyes from getting that red line towards the center that makes it look like you blazed up that morning.

You can go ask your doctor then next time you're in there with your parent(s) and just show them that they based that assertion off of nothing.

Is 10 hours of video games too much?

Hello everyone! My mom has gotten very mad at me recently because on the weekends I spend about 7-10 hours playing video games and watching youtube videos. I am not allowed to play any video games the rest of the week. My grades are straight A's and I am in high school. My grades have actually got better, but this is probably just a coincidence. I only play about this much on the weekends and I still go outside for a good 3 hours playing basketball and skateboarding with my friends. My dad gets upset sometimes, but other then that, he just lets me. I don't know what to do. I know spending that much time on video games is unhealthy, but yet again, it is fun ;). I at least run 3 miles a week in P.E. and usually finish my homework in time to go outside. I am trying to look for an answer from someone who plays video games and knows what to do. Thank you so much for the answers!
