High school simulation game?
Well it's probably not what you meant but your description reminded me of "Bully" it was on many different systems. True is was more like Grand Theft Auto with the sandbox type game play and mission story lines, but you had to do them while gaining rep with other clicks Like the Jocks, the Nerds, as well as go to your classes. You could also have a girlfriend boyfriend relationship with some of the girls from the different groups and 1 guy from each group if you so choose. Persona 3 & 4 both have a highschool setting as well. though they are mainly typical RPG fighters, but the day to day play has you listening to teachers to pass exams, choosing which after school jobs/activities to do (to earn money and build your skills), teams to join, or people to hang out with to build your "Social Links" which make you stronger in battle when the actually fighting comes up.
Funny group / clique names in highschool
Example - Gorrilas = jocks My friend are writing a book about how to survive diffrent cliques, so we're trying to think of funny names to call them. Nothing like 'Fab 5' or 'Glamor girls' but just silly, but still true. We're hoping to AT LEAST get funny names for -Jocks -Popular group -Girls who start drama -Wannabees -Those hooked on electronics -Druggies -The ones who are always perfectly coordinated with the season - The 'Body Guys' -Freaks -Emo Kids -Skaters -Goths -The group that always laughing at somthing silly Of course, these are just some, feel free to post more. Please, just say what group / clique you're nicknaming and the nicknames. :D Also: Although we personally don't belive in labels, we really can't say 'group 1, group 2, ect'. Thanks so much!
What is a cliché plot for a high school story?
There are several that spring to mind: Popular clique vs. Freaks (pick any variation: goths, band/math nerds, etc.) Gang activities Coming of age Popularity war culminating in prom/homecoming The loser who is actually pretty (which is closely related to...) The sadistic wager of popular/rich/beautiful We are not so different And Shakespeare adaptations set in American high school Keep in mind, cliché means "so overdone, it's no longer relevant storytelling," but that only applies to tropes that were dead horses before the publishing of the story occurred. Ideas for High School Character/Stereotypes for a story (Cliche Characters) Easier?
1) This is a bit like me saying "I'm doing a painting, can you tell me which brushes to use?" 2) I get the very strong impression you are placing too much importance on designing a huge cast of characters and not nearly enough importance on plot. Characters should fit the plot, not the other way round. Create them as you need them. Give them the characteristics the story requires them to have. 3) Names don't affect what kind of character someone is. Kate can be as posh as Amelia. Jade could equally be a princess or a slapper. Are the high schools in the U.S. the same as in American movies/series?
I would say the physical part, the buildings, the fields, stadium are pretty authentic. Most countries in Europe and South America are quite different, being in multi-story buildings with little open space. Most American campuses are sprawling over a few acres, usually built around a quad, and open space close to the cafeteria, with tables and benches and often some grass to toss a football on. The cafeterias are quite large, with plenty of tables and a standard school lunch as well as MacDonalds, Burger King etc. available in the cafeteria. There is frequently a salad bar.What is different are the students. There are not mean people going around harrassing other people or starting arguments. Usually the kids are like any kids, wanting to learn, wanting to have fun and wanting to socialize. There are cliques but most of them are together because they like each other. Of course, these are young people with hormones roaring, so there will be some fights, but most high school kids are quite mature and this is not shown on TV.There are many service clubs that raise money for charities or who help out with special education classes. There also abundant interest clubs for kids who like computers or who collect minerals, like ham raidio, etc. etc. There are pep clubs and football, basketball, volleyball games to cheer for.I quite like high school students.
What's it like to be a high school loner?
Being a high school loner has it's pros and cons.Pros:We can have a good relationship with the teachers as they see you lonely.You can do things without being judged about.You don't have to worry about giving your friends a treat at your birthday.You don't waste time talking nonsense with your fake friends and on social media.No stress of being away from your friends.You can concentrate on your assignments better.You can explore new things.You can see the stark difference between the good crowds and the bad crowds at school.No strings attached.You can go to anyone for help and they'll help you because they know you don't have friends.Cons:It hurts like a mother fucker when you see everyone is talking and you're the only person who's not.You get to set records of being quiet for the longest time everyday. Just sad.You have to sit at one specific place while recess and never change it.You have to get used to being ignored midway through a conversation.You must get used to being the quietest person in the class and be proud of that title.It fucking hurts when you realise everyone knows you don't have friends.Always keeping that smile up.There is no one to discuss about this very interesting subject you got to know.You can cry in the class and no one will notice. Just be quiet. (should this be a pro?)You can literally stop talking for the day and no one will notice.That's all I have for now.School can be a fucking lonely place…
