What Are The Disadvantages Of The Use Of Nanotechnology In The Treatment And Control Of Hiv And

What are the risks of developing nanotechnology in medicine?

The risks for nanotechnology in medicine are the same as the risks for traditional  work in medicine. Nanotechnology goes through the same FDA approval process as any other drug, diagnostic or medical device. While you could make the argument that the FDA approval process was never designed to accommodate nanotechnology, I think this overestimates the novelty of potential nanotechnology problems. For example, nanotechnology is being extensively developed for drug delivery technologies. The size range that can be accessed by nanotechnology seems to be particularly well suited to conglomerating in cancer cells (Nanoparticles Show Big Promise in Fight Against Cancer ). Whether or not the different nano drug delivery platforms are effective against cancer are easily judged against the same criteria used to judge small molecules. In the science fiction futurist vision, nanotechnology has the potential for a rise of the robots scenario where self-replicating bots take of the planet. If you look at cutting edge nanotechnology research, the control we have at the nano scale is very crude. Futurists talk about nanofactories. Nanotechnology researchers talk about trying to grow gold rods at the nanoscale that are close to the same size. To relate it to the macroscopic world, it would be like futurists talking about colonizing a planet in a different galaxy and we still haven't even figured out how to colonize mars. We're light years away from being able to do anything interesting enough with nanotechnology to warrant any real concern about risks or fantastical upsides.

What are the advantages of nanomedicine or nanoparticles in medicine?

In a word, precision. The advantage of nanoparticles is that they have a far greater surface area to volume ratio over larger particles. Nanoparticles will revolutionize drug delivery: they will allow drugs to be targeted to viruses and tumors and leave healthy tissue alone. This is known as bioavailability: delivering molecules to where they are most needed, for example cancer drugs binding to tumor sites. Currently chemotherapy is quite invasive and causes people to lose their hair because the molecules do not just affect cancerous tissues; they also attack healthy tissue. This works because the drugs will be enzyme-activated. Bioavailability will also alleviate one other major problem facing pharmacists today: drug interactivity. Currently some drugs might inhabit the whole body, and mix with each other to cause dangerous interactive effects. Your cholesterol medication, for example, might have an interactive effect with your antidepressant. Bioavailability promises to change this, as the molecules will only go where they are needed. See: Nanotechnology in Medical Diagnostic TechniquesGold nanoparticles/nanoshells are particularly interesting, because they heat up when they absorb energy from infrared light. Gold nanoshells are attached to antibodies, which then travel to cancer cells. The gold nanoshells are then heated up by an infrared beam, causing the tumors to be fried. This also could potentially be used to destroy visceral fat, a lot more safely than liposuction surgery. Gold Nanoparticles Could Be Used To Melt FatGold nanoshells can also be used for tissue welding, allowing accelerated wound healing. Nanoshells would be put on the edges of a wound, then heated up with infrared and close wounds. Ipod nano 7th generation alternative?

I ran into a similar dilemma when my Nano 5th gen was stolen and didn't want the touchscreen feature of the 6th. I ended up getting a Sony Walkman media player. Here's the current version. http://store.sony.com/16gb-walkman-mp3-p...

It comes with Media Go, but can use almost any media manager program.

The iPod does have a better screen for video playback.

If you use it only for audio, there are a number of simple players that have micro SD cards for expansion. This one is 16GB internal plus 16GB on the card http://www.sandisk.com/products/music-vi...

What will our nano-future look like?

"How will doctors treat their patients?"One of the biggest advances, I think, won't have anything to do with nanotechnology, but with "nano-diagnosis", if you want to use "nano" in some way.  When there's something wrong, they'll do a genetic analysis (if yours isn't already stored in a little implanted chip) to see if what's wrong is due to genetics or a disease.  If it's a disease, your genotype will tell the doctor what the most effective treatment for YOU is for that disease.  (And if it's genetic, either they'll have a cure for it or, in cases like Celiac, they'll tell you that you're allergic to X, or some such thing, and there's nothing to "cure" - just stop doing what's causing the problem.)Medicine today is one size fits all, but we're not all monoclonal copies of each other - what may cure you may kill me.  (My wife uses acetaminophen as a sleeping pill - it doesn't help pain, but it does put her to sleep.  Oxycodone, to me, is a dangerous pill that does nothing - until it stops my breathing and kills me.  But Tramadol, a very mild painkiller, works better for me than morphine does for most people.)So I think, in the not-too-distant future, medicine will be a lot more tailored to the individual, and you won't hear people complaining that the medication isn't doing anything.  That's probably because that individual should probably be given a different medication for that problem.

What is the difference between hearing aids and hearing amplifiers?

Differences in between Hearing Aids and Hearing Amplifiers:-Hearing Aids:-are considered to be medical devices.are more expensive.need a prescription.are used by the Hearing Loss people after the Hearing Test.can be programmed and custom fitted to the specific Hearing Loss.Hearing Amplifiers:-are not medical devices.are less expensive.do not need prescription.are used by the people who do not have a Hearing Loss.can not be programmed after purchase. For more visit:- https://www.hearingsol.com

Can Ayurveda cure cancer? What are the possible methods in Ayurveda to treat cancer?

As per Ayurveda and Homeo, a medicine can cure many illness in the body. If you study Ayurveda or Homeopathy one can see that most of the medicines have wonderful effects on many critical illness. As per Ayurveda, Cancer is due to excessive use of sugar or sweety tasty food, red meat, kapha rich foods or excessive use of proteins foods in the diet. Wheat grass juice is effective for cancer. You can get details from net regarding the same.If one take fasting of at least one day in a week, many illness can be cured. Digestive fire can cure many toxins in the body. Lot of books are available in the market to plan your diet according to the type of diseases. Accumulation of toxins in the body without proper expelling is the base for all cancerous growth in the body. Hence toxin removal to be done at the first stage. For that purpose Bio Chemic medicine is good. A combined use of alternative and complimentary system will cure many illness in the body. Use of pepper, turmeric, garlic, kayam etc clear many toxins in the body through food itself.Ayurveda mainly focus on constant observation of diet, daily plans and actions, administration of medicine at the earliest and according to the digestive fire and body constitution. For quick relief, better not to follow Ayurveda. Its curing is gradual and on a systematic way. All authentic text books advocate for not to administer any medicine for any diseases which last for long time, as permanent cure/ beneficial advantage is never guaranteed in such cases.Ayurveda is a system for those having will power to abstain from in take of inimical foods with greater degree of restrictions, otherwise better not to follow.
