What Are The Duties And Responsibilities Of Japanese Citizens

What are the duties of citizens of India other than voting?

Keep silence is best duty for citizens of India. Actually Constitution is not emplimented yet properly. Legislators are over ruling their rights and dominating all other autonomies. Bureaucracy is good tool to prohibit to serve Constitution. Many laws are ultravirus and still used in India. Example government can not provide emunity to some government servents in criminal or corruption casescases but still courts must  wait for govt permission. Actually government has less rights if issue is in court. Executer should not make law but here govt makes law and Parliament just pass it. In all big confusions I forgot citizens right and duties. What means gazetted? All are outdated . still wewe need to fight for citizens rights because we have reveneu centered system not social justice and law and order based system. Hop you understand the point.

What are my duties as a proactive citizen?

Thanks for the A2A.This, I believe is a great question. Being proactive means being in control of the situation rather than responding to it or in other words "Precaution is better than cure". I'm listing out below some of what I believe should be a proactive citizen's major duties:1. Keep the country clean - We crib about streets not being clean and yet we don't hesitate in throwing that empty packet of chips on the roadside. Stop cribbing and stow away that packet until you find an appropriate waste disposal bin.2. Do not encourage bribery/corruption - We crib about corruption being on the rise and yet we take out a Rs.  100 note to "cut the line". Stop cribbing and wait in line next time all the while saying no to corruption and saving on those 100 rupees.3. Speak up - We crib about rapes and crime rates rising in the country and yet we turn away our faces and walk away when we see a woman being insulted or teased on the streets. Stop cribbing and the next time you see a woman being eve teased, stand up for her.4. Encourage Education - We crib about the nation not doing enough to educate the masses and yet we do not hesitate in taking that cup off tea from the "Chhotu" in the coffee shop. Stop cribbing and encourage education. Be it your children, your relatives' children, your maid's children or the "chhotu" in the coffee shop, encourage and support their education. They are the building blocks of the nation and investing time/money in them will bring you more than just returns.5. Think rationally - We crib about the youth of the country succumbing to peer pressure and yet when we see people being criticized on television, we blindly go ahead and start hating them too. Stop cribbing and next time make your own decisions instead of being led by the mob mentality. Weigh both sides of a story, form your own opinions and support a movement because you want to and not just because everyone is.6. Vote - We crib about corrupt politicians in the system and yet we are the ones who are too lazy to get up to vote on the day of elections. Stop cribbing and let go of the "What difference will my one vote make?" attitude, every vote counts. If all citizens follow these, no doubt we will have a better nation to live in.

Why are american concentration camps for japanese people in WWII overlooked?

I dont' think they are that "overlooked". They are mentioned in most history classes anyone ever takes about how WW2 affected the country, and in any documentary I have ever seen covering the USA's role in WW2. They are no secret at all.

That said, very few Japanese-Americans and Japanese immigrants died in these concentration camps. These weren't the Dachau's or the Bergen-Belsen's of the US,.... and while it was a shameful chapter in American history, I think they get overshadowed by the monstrous scale of the camps found in Nazi-occupied Europe and the Soviet Union.

I was rather surprised to find that no US state or federal government has ever officially apologized for the camps... but I realize this probably has to do with compensation reasons. Where I live in Western Canada, we had the same internment camps in British Columbia and Alberta. The feds have on a few occasions publicly apologized, and people from that era were even given some compensation (although it wasn't much). But... that maybe has to do with different property rights legislation in both countries that would affect the ability of the parties to go to court... maybe they just don't want the legal system to be exploited or overwhelmed (I'm just speculating on that.. I could be way off).

In your opinion, what are the five most important rights of citizens?

right to bear arms, right to drink beer, right to eat cheeseburgers right to free speech, right to vote

What is the significance of fundamental duties?

Part IVA of Indian Constitution deals with Fundamental Duties. Originally, the Constitution of India did not contain these duties. Fundamental duties were added by 42nd and 86th Constitutional Amendment acts. The Significance of Fundamental Duties can be stated as follows:The Fundamental Duties of citizens were added to the Constitution by the 42nd Amendment in 1976, upon the recommendations of the Swaran Singh Committee that was constituted by the government earlier that year.Fundamental duties are applicable only to citizens and not to the aliens.Fundamental Duties are the modernization of the constitution.Fundamental duties have been incorporated in the Indian Constitution to remind every citizen that they should not only be conscious of their rights, but also of their duties.Fundamental duties are intended to serve as a constant reminder to every citizen that while the constitution of our county specifically conferred on them certain Fundamental rights, it also requires citizens to observe certain basic norms and rules of the democratic conduct and democratic behavior. They serve as a warning against the anti-national and antisocial activities like burning the national flag, destroying public properties. They serve as a source of inspiration for the citizens and promote a sense of discipline and commitment among them. They help the courts in examining and determining the constitutional validity of a law.The duties incorporated in the constitution by the 42nd Amendment are statutory duties and shall be enforceable by law. Parliament, bylaw will provide penalties to be imposed for failure to fulfill those duties and obligations .Fundamental duties are not made enforceable like Fundamental Rights but it cannot overlook as duties in Part IV A is prefixed by the same word fundamental which was prefixed by the founding fathers of the Constitution to right in Part III.Source:The Importance of Fundamental DutiesIndian Polity by M Laxmikanth
