What Are The Events Whereby All Countries Participate

What country is the biggest threat to America? ?

No single country has ever been the biggest threat to America, except during your war of independence from Great Britain.
These threats have always been because of political differences in the past, such as political idealism like Communism, or nationalistic Fascism.
Now the greatest threat is in the form of religious fanaticism, but this is also political because these Muslim extremists have hijacked the Islamic faith for political reasons, and because of their hatred, or perhaps jealousy of the USA.
They deliberately misinterpret the Koran in order to justify their acts of terror, and they use the ignorance and dissatisfaction of their followers, in order to brainwash them into believing their appalling version of the Islamic faith.
The Muslim world has been a political time bomb for far too long.
There no countries in the world in which the majority of the population are Muslims, where real political freedom exists.
The western world aided and abetted this process, whereby dictatorships took over power in every single Muslim country in the world, and we fully supported these dictators, so long as they played along to our rules.
Now we are seeing the hunger of what Muslim people throughout the world have for political freedom and democracy, and this scares the living daylights out of their undemocratic rulers, and the powers who let them gain control.
The events within Germany in the 1930's show how dangerous things can become when this new system called democracy is introduced. The general public had no experience whatsoever of such a system and were completely unprepared for what it could achieve, and this political naivety allowed it to be misused by power hungry megalomaniacs.
The western world is terrified that the same may occur in many Muslim countries, because of these very influential Islamic terror networks.
A perfect example being the events in northern Mali, where islamic militants have completely taken over power because the Tuareg underestimated them during their takeover of this region.
We have to wake up to the political consequences by realising that Al Quaeda is extremely well organised both politically and militarily, and we must learn to preempt such events as happened in Mali.
The catalist to all these problems is the Israeli - Palestinian conflict. Until this is resolved, the extremism will never end !

If dating women becomes too difficult in the Western countries, is it possible that new services open whereby the male's parents arrange his marriage with a woman from a country with arranged marriages like Pakistan, Japan, India, China, etc.?

With the advent of the internet and mobile apps, dating in the west is actually much more easier than it has ever been.In the past you had to go to a bar, events, clubs, nights out etc. to meet people. Now you can do it from a swipe on your phone. So, the chances of this idea wrong would be very slim.Yes, there are still single and lonely people in the West but that is the same anywhere in the world where things have not turned out right for them.Arranged marriages are changing too. It is no longer as ‘arranged’ as it use to be.Todays arranged marriages even end up in divorce because there is no guarantee that such a marriage is better than any other marriage because it depends on the people getting married not the concept. So, for people in the West to have something arranged for them, when they are use to finding their own ‘love’ would be very hard to implement. Besides parents in the West seldom want the responsibility to find someone for their child.

Given the state of both countries gun laws, why are there considerably less massacres in Australia than America?

It began with a string of mass shootings in Australia (13 in 15 years), culminating in the Port Arthur massacre (Australia) in 1996. The death toll was a world record at the time. Earlier that year there had also been the Dunblane massacre in the UK, a country a lot of Australians had a connection to.The people wanted change. A conservative Prime Minister picked up the ball and said OK, let’s do it. A National Firearms Agreement was negotiated, whereby all the states (AND the major political parties) agreed to pretty uniform laws across the country. (This is a major difference from America.)The new laws removed some guns from legal use. It demanded licencing of both shooters and guns, strict consideration of people’s backgrounds before they could own a gun, and required all guns to be stored extremely safely when not in use, with ammo in a different place. Crimes committed with guns copped more severe penalties. After more than 21 years, we have seen a culture change. Guns are no longer cool to own, unless you’re a hunter or a competition shooter. (We do very well at the Olympic shooting events.) People dob in others they see misusing guns or owning guns they shouldn’t.Black market prices for guns skyrocketed. Criminals now only rarely use guns in crimes. We have had no mass shootings since 1996.And best of all, 90% of Australians like our laws or wish they were stronger.A couple of weeks ago an expelled student returned to his old school to kill a Year 10 student, and “to get a few teachers too.” Nobody was harmed. He had a knife.

How many different countries have ruled over England in its history?

The answer depends very much on what you mean by “country” and what you mean by “rule over”. The simple answer is that after the Roman conquest, no country in the sense of nation has ever ruled over the area now known as England. The history of Great Britain and Ireland after the end of the Roman occupation in the early 5th century CE is readily to be found on the internet. The story is one of successive arrivals and occupations by warlike cultural groups from northern Europe and Scandinavia, none of which were countries, even if they had their own local administrations. Even England wasn’t a country, it was the territory of one of these groups, the Angles, which evolved into a kingdom, Angle-land or England, incorporated particularly under Alfred the Great. Invasions and settlements continued over the next 150 years after Alfred’s death until the invading Normans (Norsemen who had settled in Northern France) established a firm military and cultural grip on Britain. Even the Normans were not a country but a cultural, military and political enclave in France. However the Normans were the last successful invaders of the islands of Britain, and for a millennium or so no foreign rule has held sway over these islands with the exception of the German occupation of the Channel islands in WW2.

Why did Japan enter World War II?

Japan's industries need raw materials, but it's natural resources are nil. She had to import iron scrap and petroleum from U S A. The nearest country which has vast resources was China. However English, French and Duch monopolised exploitation, and vast areas were under the rule of their governments. So Japan occupied Manchuria. In the process vast stretches of China was occupied. To maintain occupational force they need more material, steel and fuel were very much necessary. In this context Japan's line of thinking was that while she was being starved of fuel and raw materials, companies of far of countries are getting the same dam cheap by exploiting vast resources.By the same time Nazis rose to power in Germany and by 1941 - 42 they successfully defeated France remains unstoppable. So the powers that were ruling some Asian countries themselves were defeated. This, Japan thought was the right time to join hands with victorious forces, viz. Nazi Germany and Italy. These developments troubled US. They told Japan to stop aggression on China and announced halt of iron scrap. This infuriated the Japanese government, headed by Tojo, a military general. As the Europe was in turmoil, the attention of US diverted to help UK, it was the right time to destroy American naval ships and air craft carriers at Pearl Harbor in a surprise attack. On the face of it Japanese are in serious discussions with American Government. But Tojo covertly planned a surprise attack. This they did in December. But the attack did not yield desired results as US Air craft carriers were not there. As the American industrial might is is several times of Japanese, eventually they won the war. However a small Asian nation stunned the most powerful nation writing a day of infamy in it's history.

Difference between house arrest and home detention!?!?

House arrest is simply a synonym for home detention. They both have EXACTLY the same meaning.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_arres...

The confusion may have come from the fact that most likely the conditions of his house arrest were changed.
House arrest is often enforced through the use of an ankle monitor. He possibly was taken of this ankle monitor and in stead replaced by the use of automated calling service whereby random calls are made to the residence to assure he's at home. Authorities are notified if the call is not answered or if the recorded answer does not match the offender's voice pattern.

What is a plausible scenario whereby the U.S. launches multiple nuclear weapons in the next decade?

Let's say five scenarios, roughly in order of likelihood:1. The Kim Family Regiem (KFR) faces the end of their rule thanks to some kind of exogenous factor. So plug in an earthquake, typhoon, server drought, political change in China (example; the Chinese cut all aide for some reason), or other event that so angers some faction of North Koreas elite military officers that they decide that a coup (likely backed by China and/or Seoul) is the only way out. Before he goes down, the KFR gets off a couple of lucky shots at Japan or South Korea and the U.S. responds with the complete destruction of North Korea using nukes. 2. Iran makes enough of a nuclear deal to get some of the sanctions lifted, and the lifting of the sanctions start to really empower the middle class in Iran. Then somebody leaks - Wikipeaks style maybe - that Iran still has a secrete military unit that's reprocessing uranium under a mountain somewhere. This causes all out pandemonium in Iran and the Mullahs fire a couple of wareheads at Israel on their way down. With a million dead Israelis, the U.S. president is given no choice but to clear the tubes from a boomer in the Indian Ocean and leave Iran a radioactive sink hole. 3. China faces a use it or loose it moment as a sever economic depression takes hold and the CCP seeks to district a restless public through a "splendid little war" abroad. They pick on Japan and loose a brief naval war when Australia, India and South Korea get involved. Nuke are used to destroy a Japanese naval base. The U.S. retaliates with overwhelming force, including a full nuclear strike. 4. Hillary Clinton discovers Bill has a hooker in a hotel in Manhattan. She orders all of New York State razed and then salts the Earth so that nothing will ever grow again.

Are there specific cases whereby climate change has already affected some countries?

History of climate change scienceThe potential for Global Warming was first calculated in 1896.It was first observed in 1937, when record-breaking temperatures were measured worldwide. It was first recognized as a danger in 1957.In 1972 Munich Reinsurance reported increasing claims from Global Warming worldwide, resulting in increasing insurance premiums. This was true from the tropics to the farthest inhabited regions to the north and south, and from sea level to high mountains.Since then we have had more and worse storms, floods, droughts, and fires; rising sea levels inundating coastal cities; ocean acidification resulting in mass deaths of corals and shellfish; migration of species where possible, and extinctions where it was not; and the spread of tropical diseases to previously more temperate regions. This affects every country, which is why the unprecedented COP21 agreement included 195 countries. No individual storm can be unequivocally attributed to Global Warming, but the trend is undeniable. There can be no such doubts about sea level rise, ocean acidification, and many other such directly observed global phenomena.

What does Art Buchwald mean in the "Squaring the Economic Circle"?

This quote will help you understand the concept:

Point 9-13, LAST WORD:

"What is the central economic idea humorously illustrated in Art Buchwald piece, “Squaring the Economic Circle”? How does the central idea relate to recessions, on the one hand, and vigorous expansions, on the other?

The central idea illustrated is the multiplier effect that exists in a market economic system. One independently determined change in spending has an effect on anothers income, which then sets in motion a chain of events whereby spending changes directly with the income changes. A decline in spending begins a chain of declines, or, in other words, the initial decrease in spending is multiplied in terms of the final effect of this single decision. This occurs because of the observation that any change in income causesa change in spending that is directly proportional to it. The multiplier effect helps us understand why there is a business cycle as opposed to a stable level of output growth from year to year. In the Buchwald piece, a “downturn” for one person became a downturn for everyone in that fictional economy. Likewise, if the story had begun with a burst of optimism and an increase in spending, it might have rippled through to expand everyone’s fortunes. The multiplier intensifies the effect of a spending change, whether it is an increase or decrease."

What historical event of the 20th century caused many people to support the idea of a Jewish state? Why?

The Holocaust perpetrated by the regime in Nazi Germany, whereby all Jews in areas contolled by Germany were identified, rounded up, and then shipped off to specially constructed for the purpose death camps to be murdered.

Many believed that an independent Jewish state would allow Jews from all the world an opportunity to settle there, and that then they would be better able to protect themselves. None of the governments anywhere did much to help Jews during the Nazi regime of 1933-1945.
