What Are The Highest Grossing Majors Excluding The Medical Field

High Paying Jobs with Public Health Major? Is it a high-profile, successful field?

You are right to question this. I work in health care admin and over the years I have seen the people who rise to the top of the $$$ game have an advanced degree associated with a license (health care professional). While the person may not need a medical license to hold the high level job, the medical degree opened the door for the person to get to the podium.

There are lots of people who have been successful in public health - but their names are not household names - or are not even recorded.

those whose names are known are usually associated with a lab science where they discovered a process to identify a problem or possible treatment. They aren't paid the big bucks - but loved what they did.

If you can find a $100,000 job in public health, it almost always has an MD after the name, or it is a person who worked 30 years to get there.

The major employers of people with public health degrees are government - or some private reseach places. but they are mainly interested in folks with laboratory skills - and that's not the big bucks end either. Anyone can start their own business - bid on contracts to develop a new this or that - but credibility comes with degrees.

good luck

What are the highest paying jobs for the PCB students except MBBS?

Lets give this a shot!Assuming you have finished your 12th with PCB combination.Google hires people with Physics degrees(BSc) as part of their engineering team. But you would need to have an MSc or an MTech after your BSc. (Personal Note: A friend of mine got into Google through this route)Doing your Biology degree and completing an IAS exam would put you into one of the various departments such as Forests or wildlife. Or if you do end up doing your NET exam, you could choose to do your PHD from some of the most premier institutes in India, with a stipend and research grant.Chemistry follows the same path as the Biology, however you could complete your MSc or MTech and join a chemical engineering firm. Godrej hires such people for their oil manufacturing firmsYou could also become a nutritionist, a sports scientist(with a sports curve and a degree in sports medicine)To be honest, you could choose the career you want, and the money follows.I started off with a Chemistry degree, did my MCA and now I’m into IT. While at one time I was in love with Geology. And I make the same as a professional geologist in the feild, albeit, I sit in the confines of an AC room with all the comforts of my home.

Is physical therapy gross?

What you probably observed was someone undergoing treatment for lymphedema. This is a very specialized area of physical therapy...you would not do this treatment unless you did special post-graduate education.

HOWEVER, as a PT, you will need to work with patients of all shapes and sizes. You will most likely need to do a rotation in a hospital setting, you will need to see and touch things like catheters, drains, adult diapers, etc. You might help patients up to the bedside commode...and yes, sometimes help them wipe (because the PCT isn't always around) etc. ...and yes, sometimes you will need to help obese patients move their legs, arms, etc.

There is plenty of time to get accomodated to this. Just about all health care job involve direct contact with a patient except for lab workers....then you just need to deal with their bodily fluids that get sent to you.

Why is college algebra needed for medical majors?

It is not possible to study chemistry without strong algebra skills. It is not possible to study medicine without studying chemistry. Therefore, the study of algebra is necessary for those who wish to study medicine. At the request of our institution’s chemistry department, we did a statistical study of the relationship between the Math ACT score and performance in the first chemistry course. A score below 24 was highly correlated with poor performance in chemistry. Taking remedial math courses prior to taking chemistry came close to erasing the observed performance gap. What this reveals is that failing to master algebra in high school is an excellent way to ensure that many career doors are closed to you before you even arrive in college. Keeping these doors open requires a mastery of algebra. Master it in high school, kids.

Do you have to major in nursing to become a nurse?

nursing is a major.

idk understand how anyone could think its not, since i myself am getting a major in nursing.

typically in nursing you need a bachelors or higher to specialize in a certain field. You could major in nursing and minor in psychology. Or do nursing and work long enough to work in neurology... I can't think of any other job where you start working in a specialized position besides being a doctor.

How difficult is a double major and minor?

I'm going to be a freshman in college next year and I was thinking of doing a double major and a double minor in four years. I want to double major in two business majors (not sure which two yet though). The school I'm going too is an excellent business school and many students earn a double or triple major easily because a lot of business majors overlap and have the same class requirements and pre-requisites. I also want to double minor in spanish and philosophy for business. I am interested in both of these and think they would add to my business major. I'm pretty dedicated to school and have already completed 31 credit hours in high school so I will be able to exempt the basic classes (english, history, science, etc). I also plan to take a spanish placement exam and hopefully complete necessary spanish courses. So do you think a double major and minor would be doable? Would it be worth it? Would it help me get into graduate school in the future? Thanks in advance!

What are some options for a biology student other than medicine after class 12 in India?

Not all students who choose Medical stream as a career option after 12th pcb stream wish to become doctors or dentists. In Indian society, it is an auto assumed scenario. If a child opts for 12th science stream (PCB), society starts to believe and see them as future doctors. Due to this false impression, in most of the cases, students are forced to appear for medical entrance exams even if they don’t wish to. Sometimes, it is misleading as students themselves also start believing that they must become a doctor, or dentist. Lack of professional guidance results into disasters as when students realize that they are just running behind the crowd, they have already lost good amount of time. Here, I am shifting the focus from MBBS and BDS to “OTHER CAREER OPTIONS in LIFE SCIENCES” and listing out some of the possible career options for 12th Science Stream students who like to study life sciences but do not wish to become doctors.Students with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at 10+2 can opt for career in Life Sciences.
