What Are The Important Topics For Study Hvac To Work In Revit Mep

Do mechanical engineers have a decent job after doing Revit MEP?

I myself have studied REVIT MEP, for me it was a complete waste. Until and unless you are trying job in UAE or other arab countries the software knowledge is not much significant. Most of the HVAC consultants still use AUTOCAD and prefer AUTOCAD. REVIT needs a good system to run itself, which most firms do not tend to have. In short , from my experience in the feild of HVAC and Engineering consultation. The usage of REVIT has been little to none. But the countries abroad are implementing REVIT more these days, so having knowledge in it is not bad.

What is Revit MEP?

Starting your BIM career: Diploma in Revit MEPThe building boom in India has pushed technology to higher limits as developers seek ways to build safer and faster in order to capitalise on the growing market. Building Information Modelling or BIM has been available to assist with this for a number of years but recently has become more advanced with 3D and even 4D software becoming more commonly used. The advantages of such software is that the 2D design of a building can be cross referenced with Building Systems information from databases to allow for efficient planning from a buildings conception right through its lifecycle highlighting possible pitfalls or scheduling hiccups which can then be avoided. The cost savings are huge and time management is significantly easier. This is a highly skilled area of building design and qualified persons are sought after especially those able to utilize the relevant software in particular those holding a Diploma in Revit MEP. Revit MEP allows for both 3D and 4D BIM and is highly effective software in this area. This is one of a number of courses which are becoming increasingly popular in this time of economic growth and building boom. When deciding which course of Diploma is right for you consider the different natures of the courses for example a Diploma in MEP will likely be more hands on design and development of buildings and specific systems courses such as Diploma in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning) focus in more detail on a certain system within the building. Both options also have good career paths their work schedules have likely been developed using BIM Software, by those able to effectively use such software such as ones holding a Diploma in Revit MEP. It’s up to you, where would you rather be when you step on to the career ladder?

What is the difference between mep and hvac?

MEP ( Mechanical, electrical and plumbing) refers to the aspects of building constructions and design. This is widely used in commercial buildings. In commercial buildings these aspects are often designed by an engineering firm specializing in MEP. MEP design is very important in decision making, accurate documentation, performance and cost estimation, construction planning, managing and operating. Where as HVAC stands for heating, ventilation and air conditioning is the technology of indoor and vehicular environmental control. This machine is primarily designed to take control of the environmental conditions inside the home to provide thermal comfort. HVAC system is designed as a sub discipline of mechanical engineering, based on the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer. HVAC is an important part of residential structures such as buildings, homes, apartments hotels etc.

What is Revit MEP for mechanical engineering?

REVIT MEP for mechanical is a big part of mechanical engineering. It deals all best part of mechanical design, 3D design, 2D design, Mechanical Equipment details and many basic information which cover a big deal of mechanical. One who does after B tech form any branch could learn do this REVIT MEP course for 4–6 months and enter in the field of MEP.Basically MEP stands for Mechanical ,Electrical and Plumbing , This is will benefit to branch under this category. But what i had a experience any one can do this and work on this MEP field. Sometimes it very tough job but when get experience you will automatically feel good and interest on this jobs.As per jobs description this is best job under mechanical, electrical and civil also.job Quality is good, more experience leads up your salary and personality.Within 5 year India grow up with is MEP. Some part of India start working on REVIT MEP. Most demanding jobs in Gulf countries with very high salary. So, good luck from my side, all good skill with MEP i share with you guys . I hope you may like and work on it.Thank you….HVAC EngineerYusuf Raza….

Is the Revit MEP course good for an electrical engineer and how does it benefit an electrical engineer?

Revit MEP is a great tool for BIM (Building Information Modelling). In MEP, usually the major part is dealt with HVAC and ‘Electrical’ usually comes only as secondary. This is in fact same in the case of Revit MEP also, where the workflow is based on a mechanical engineers view point. In MEP engineering, the role of an Electrical engineer is entirely different than the other two streams and are greatly influenced by the local rules and guidelines. But in Revit MEP, the design aspects are based on international standards which are true for HVAC and plumbing services and to some extent for Electrical system. For a building project, electrical engineer must work for preparing a good and efficient lighting scheme, cable schedule, equipment spacing, cable routing etc and it can be done with manual calculations and with help of other software (say DIALux for lighting design). Revit MEP cannot give this flexibility and efficiency for electrical designing. So my recommendation is that it is useful for an Electrical engineer to take Revit MEP only if he want to do BIM projects, otherwise it is better to do practice in the other way.But Mechanical engineers who currently work in or are pursuing careers in the MEP engineering fields will discover many benefits of using Revit MEP. The BIM workflow offered by Revit MEP not only maximizes productivity but also helps to streamline your design and documentation workflows; speeding projects from design to completion while automating updates across your model with a single design change. Autodesk Revit MEP offers many other tools and features that can enhance productivity such as Building Performance Analysis, Autodesk 360 Integration, Construction Documentation, Pressure and Flow Calculations, Pressure Loss Reports, Parametric Components, and much more.

What is HVAC? How it is beneficial for Mechanical Engineer?

Dear friend,Am proud to explain about our MEP systems.Let's we move to the topic,HVAC- heating ventilation and air-conditioning.Heating:In Hvac we are doing three important activities like pre heating the atmosphere air into heating or cooling supply air. Then we will serve the supply air to the respective rooms via air terminal.Ventilation:Ventilation is important for all the human being or animals. We need to breath the fresh air and we need to extract the used air this is called ventilation system. If your not doing this species can't breath properly.Air conditioning :This is beautiful process. We need to condition the atmosphere into supply air with good air quality. We need to give good comfortness for all the human being. If human getting good comfort he will decide some important decisions without any trouble.if human feels uncomfortable he will take some wrong decision in his personal or official life. So Hvac is important for all the human being. Kindly consider the psychological factors so surely you will learn this Hvac system.Who can learn this Hvac? The mechanical engineering candidate is the top priority and who are learned thermal engineering, thermo dynamics, heat and mass transfer and fluid mechanics they also eligible to learn this Hvac system.Carrier or scopeOnce if you learned this Hvac system you can get the following job designation in construction industry.Hvac design engineerHvac site engineer /supervisorHvac quantity surveyorHvac design managerHvac draftmanEtc.RegardsKrishnan MWww.creationsengineering.com

What are MEP services? What does a MEP engineer work in?

My limited understanding: MEP stands for mechanical, electrical and plumbing and refers to things like your HVAC (mechanical) system, the wiring in the walls as well as the plumbing. When you ask what an MEP engineer works in are you referring to what type of software they use or what over-arching industry? The industry is the building or construction industry (depending on your view) and what software they use would likely be dependent on the type of project and specific type of work they are doing. Some MEP engineers use AutoCAD (or other CAD-based products) others are part of a building information modeling process and use Revit (or other BIM-enabling tools). Still others may be on the fabrication (read: creation or manufacturing) end and use a different tool entirely (not 100% sure what that would be as I don’t interact with those often).

How can I make career in Mechanical Designing after completing Mechanical Engineering in India ?

Well like most of other mechanical engineers do, By learning different softwares. The mechanical design engineers have to learn different softwares, because not every company uses same software for CAD, CAM OR CAE.Like if you Work for godrej, they used to have Autocad and Solidworks for designing purposes, now all they use is Creo ptc. There are many softwares that can be helpful to find jobs for mechanical deisgn engineersAutocad - this is a basic and must learn software, autocad draughtsman jobs are plenty in market.Solidworks - The best 3D modelling software, very useful and dynamic.
