I've heard some bad things about Jiffy Lube and that half the people there are drug addicts and retarded lol. I just want to know where i could start if i want a future in the automotive industry.

There are 8 tests that you take over a few years and then you can test to be a Master Tech. Once you have that, if you're good, you can pretty much go anywhere you want. The industry is really short on Master Techs, but the recession has also put a lot of shops out of biz. So there are Master Techs doing lower tech jobs just to earn a living.
