There are so many aspects of China to be explored by a foreigner, and there are hundreds of cities in China. I don’t think a list of 10 cities is enough to cover all must-sees in China. Therefore, I will provide 2 lists. What cities have great air quality and are nice places to live in?
I highly recommend the city of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, in the southwestern China. It has long been famous for its moderate weather, The Spring City, hence the name. It is very difficulty to find A/Cs in the apartments. Average temperature is around 20C, never too hot nor too cold.The city is on the Plateau with low latitude and high elevation, so you might feel that the air is a bit dry. But I think that won't prevent you from enjoying 230 sunny days a year.Yunnan province is naturally and culturally rich in tourist resources which make the airport of kunming one of the busiest in China. You won't get boring if living in Kunming. The World Horticulture Expo once was held in Kunming, which is the best place to study the flowers and trees if you are interested in. Varieties of ethnic minorities live in the different areas of the province, that could give you many spectacular trips through the culture diversities.Most important thing, KM is one of the very few cities not chocking in smog. In my personal experience, as a cyclist, I just can't wait to ride bike as long as I'm there. If you are a hard core fan of aerobic, I guess you don't have too many choices in China now.However, Kunming is not a metropolis but a medium size city in one of the most undeveloped provinces.If you are not here to find a job or starting a business, it can be acceptable.My presents are there, if you need more information, feel free to contact.
What is Hong Kong famous for?
From the point of view of China, Hong Kong is most famous for its base ingratitude for all the assistance China has given it since the protocol for return to China was signed in 1984. Moreover in denying it is part of China and demanding a British style political system the Hong Kong people have shown themselves not even deserving of the accolade of being called Chinese. Finally their treatment of their compatriots who visit for tourism and shopping purposes had been outrageous given the enormous contribution they are making to the economy. Hong Kong could easily be a very attractive centre for shopping, tourism, higher education, and medical services for mainland people, but instead they demand the reduction of the flow of mainlanders. While the rest of the world looks with open admiration at the Chinese miracle and seeks to be part of it, Hong Kong people have turned a blind eye. Their newspapers and media reports are full, instead, of reports of robberies, fires, disasters, kidnappings, rapes, murders, corruption, blackmail, muggings and all the usual crimes of a huge nation as if that represented the normal life for all Chinese here. Hong Kong, unless it opens its eyes, will watch all the opportunities bypass it by and decline as an attractive place for Chinese to visit while Taiwan takes it's place.
