I need a car for 6 months. What's the most economical way to do this?

If in the US, one option is a lease trade website like LeaseTrader.com - Car Lease - Lease Assumption - Short Term Leases.Do a search by proximity and a lease termination of 6 months. People who are trying to get out of their leases early post their cars, with the remaining months and miles left. Many people will add an incentive, like a cash payment for taking over the lease or covering one of the payments. It's actually a pretty painless way of getting into a short term commitment. Complete the transfer docs, drive the car for 6 months, turn it in when the lease is over. No sales tax, car should be under manufacturer warranty, no need to sell it when you're done.

Mysore is well connected with Bangalore by rail and road. Buses of all types leave Mysore Road Satellite Bus Station at regular intervals(read 10-20 minutes). Karnataka Sarige, the lowest priced of them all comes about about Rs130 one side and takes about 4 hours. Then we have Rajahamsa class service which is also non ac but with push back seats. Ticket cost is around Rs 200 and takes roughly 3.5 hours. The most comfortable bus service is experienced in the Airavat class. Its fare is around Rs 270 and takes around 3 hours. Tickets can be availed at the counter itself unless you are travelling on weekends. Coming to trains, a number of trains run between the two cities. The complete list can be found here.Mysore to Bangalore Train Timings Bangalore to Mysore Train Timings It is recommended to prebook tickets for a hassle free journey. Typical fare is around Rs 100 for 2S, Rs 170 for SL, Rs 300 for CC, Rs 500 for 3A. Most of the trains leave from city railway station which is very well connected from all parts of Bangalore. Shatabdi is the most comfortable and takes the least amount of time. Tippu express and Chamundi express are others which come to mind.A third option, though a bit less safe is to travel in shuttle cars. Typically you will find such cars near suburb bus stand in Mysore. This mode saves a lot of time. Please comment for any specific query!

What are the least expensive options to ship a car across the US?

The car shipping industry is extremely fragmented, and it's not easy to find a company you can trust to ship your vehicles. Most car carriers are small entities and don't have the marketing resources or skill to reach customers. Instead, brokers and online lead generation sites dominate the industry. When you request quotes online, typically you'll receive a bunch of competing offers from brokers. Some will be 10–25% lower than the others. Naturally a lot of people are drawn in by low prices, and so they sign-up with one of the brokers offering the lowest prices. Most people do not realize that they are not being offered a "firm" price. The cars may or not move at those low prices; the brokers are hoping that they can find a carrier that will agree to a low price, or they will just go back and ask you for more money now that they've (usually) already got your deposit. Be very cautious about using price as the most important factor in your selection however, as there are still a lot of pitfalls and disreputable carriers out there. At ShipHawk (I'm CEO), we provide instant rates for some of the industry's best auto carriers.  You can choose between various pricing and service options depending on when you need the vehicles picked up (within 10 days, 5 days, or on an exact day). An estimate based on shipping from New York City to Los Angeles at this time of year (summer) is roughly $1250 with a 10 day transit time. I would recommend looking at the reviews on TransportReviews.com. You'll get a good understanding of the industry and the types of problems that can arise by reading some of the reviews there.

GPS: What is the best car tracking device with no monthly fee?

The majority of big brands that sell vehicle tracking devices charge a monthly fee. This is because the GPS devices use data to transmit the information, which costs money. The quality brands also have their own tracking software, which requires developers to maintain and improve the software, therefore costing more money.Note: for a free review of the top 3 car tracking devices please click here.So what’s your options?Purchase a device from eBay, Amazon etc. These devices are quite cheap however you’ll have to purchase your own SIM card and sign up for a monthly data plan to use the device.Do some research to find a high-quality company that doesn’t charge ridiculously high rates ($25+/month).If you want to go the cheapest option, here’s a forewarning from someone who has used several of these devices..Yes, they are cheap. Yes, the monthly fee is only your data costs ($5/month).BUT, sometimes they’re an endless trap of frustration. You won’t get any technical support if you’re having difficulties with the device. You probably will have some difficulties because the instruction manuals are riddled with terrible English. The devices themselves are cheap - they’re made from cheap components, aren’t reliable and aren’t very accurate. And the software is downright crap.So what’s my recommendation?Find a simple to use tracker, from a quality brand that doesn’t have over-the-top fees. And that’s where the FM3001 comes in, along with my company, Car Trackers Club. We’ve been working 1-on-1 with customers to build a company from the ground-up that services you, our customer. We’ve designed an intuitive-to-use tracking platform and mobile apps, and are now providing an even easier to use tracking device…No setup/installation necessary, works straight out of the box.Huge range of Smart Alerts - Fuel consumption, overspeeding alerts, geofences, crash detection, towing detection, theft alerts, driver behaviour alerts, trip logging and a whole lot more. These alerts can be easily set using our mobile app or online platform.Intuitive Tracking Platform that’s built around simplicity.Quality tested in Europe, 2 year warranty. No contracts, no hidden fees, works worldwide. This device was build specifically for beginners, keeping simplicity in mind. At the same time, we wanted to provide a range of useful alerts that were easy to set.I believe we’ve accomplished this. For more information please take a look at these guides: GPS Car Trackers Club.Cheers, Luca.

What is best option for a low cost MBA?

well, i don't know that you're going to find a 'low cost' MBA anywhere. supply and demand, supply and demand! the demand for these programs has both increased the number of institutions offering them and the cost per program.

when i went for my MBA, i didn't want to drive an hour an a half two nights a week to the nearest big city that had a program. at the time the University of Phoenix Online Program was the only ACCREDITED distance learning program around. i signed up for it, bought myself a 'screaming' 2400 baud modem and earned my MBA at home over the next two years. I think its a good program--or it was at the time anyway and that was 14 years ago.

Good luck!

What is the most economical car that is currently mass produced?

The SmartCar is definately a great bargain. It is very cheap to buy and run. Now, you won't be hosting many carpools or towing anything, but it will get you around and save a huge amount of money at the pump.
You can get some around $10,000 which is a great deal for a newer car. And it is not a hybrid, just a very efficient small car. There is a new version with four doors coming out, but the standard model is only 2 person (barely).
You definately need to account for the battery replacement cost on a hybrid, you should add $7000 to the price since you will probably have to replace it at least once in the time you own it.

Which is the cheapest family car in India?

Tata Nano is the cheapest Family car in India - its spacious and can be used for 4 people to ride within city. But then Tata Nano doesn't have that road presence and show-off factor. It is flagged as a poor man’s car.So the next best bet is second hand well maintained Maruti 800 , or a Tata Indigo V2 hatch back, or Maruti Omni van. Note that these cars are not flagged like Tata-Nano. All these three cars are available at dirt cheap price and are very spacious. You may also try invest a little more money , to get yourself a second hand honda-city or swift Dezire at around 2–3 lakhs. Dont buy Chevrolet or Hyundai cars second hand, the maintenance is very costly; the mileage is poor. However if you are looking to buy new car then : Wagon R, Tata Tiago, Honda Brio , Hyundai i10 , and Maruti Swift are good starting options.Alto k10 again has that poor man’s flag.Wagon R is the cheapest family car , if you are planning to buy new car.
