What Are The Non Quota And Quota Courses In Up

What are the non-quota courses in CEU???

This the section about the Special Education of Students with Disabilities. Try posting to another section.

What are the non quota courses in UP?

Back then, there were these "non-quota" courses in UP, meaning, to be accepted in these courses, you only have to pass the UPCAT.

Unfortunately, non-quota courses does not exist anymore in the UP; in short, all are quota courses.

UP quota and non quota courses?

I'm applying for UP, too. Diliman and Los Baños. My courses are European Languages & Broadcast Communication which are considered non-quota courses. And I've spoken to a lot of UP alumni and all of them adviced me against taking quota courses since it's harder to get into the school that way because there's usually around 70,000 students who take the UPCAT annually and the quota courses are the most commonly chosen courses and they admit only 11,000. They also told me that if I was really determined to study a certain quota course to shift courses the following year.

Anyways, good luck. :)

What are the quota and non quota courses at UP????????

UP stopped classifying courses via calling them "quota" and "non-quota" courses. for my section, i think of it facilitates pupils examine their probabilities of stepping right into a course and undertand which courses are intense call for courses, yet I consider UP that their classification shouldn't impact pupils' selection because it does not impact passing right into a campus. it is by using fact regardless of the course selection, you may desire to get a greater score/UPG required via the campus beforehand you get into anyt course interior the mentioned campus.

Is B Landscape Architecture a non quota course in UP Diliman?

Yes

"don’t worry whether your course is a quota or a non-quota one. Just write down the exact course that you want on the application form and do your best on the UPCAT."

What are UST's quota courses or the universities premiere programs?

Every program in UST can be considered as "quota" simply because they only allow a finite number of students to get in as per specified qualifications. For example, only about 200 can get in the faculty of arts and letters, about 500 in engineering, and so on.

I haven't really heard of anyone who've failed the FEU-CAT. UST is far harder university to enter, much more if you're aspiring for their medical technology program.

P.S: 'Program' refers to the degree you're studying for i.e architecture, industrial engineering, and communication arts, while 'course' refers to your university subjects i.e visual perspective, flooring principles, and broadcasting techniques.

All of the courses that are related to the health sciences are deemed to be QUOTA courses. Admission to these courses is highly competitive and I don't recommend that you put these into your UPCAT form (I have the impression that you are going to take the UPCAT) if you doubt your scholastic ability--you're going to a lot of trouble if you fail to make it to the quota. If you believe in yourself, keri lang!

I don't really know which courses are NON-QUOTA, but admission to the following courses are relatively easier (mas mababa 'yung 'qualifying GPA') Patago-tago pa ang UP--actually may informal quota 'yang sinusunod, hindi lang publicized.
1. Phil Arts
2. Organizational Comm
3. Area Studies
4. Development Studies

Many freshmen students use these as backdoor entrances to the UP. They would later shift to other courses =(. However, since UPM offers health sciences courses (and health sciences are in demand in other countries), the demand for any slot in the university is very high--very competitive kumbaga. Mahirap pumasa dito ano (yabang)!

If you're taking the UPCAT, study hard!

Wala nang sources ha. Credible naman ako eh. Iskolar 'ata 'to!

Hi Ujjwal.Well saying that there is quota for ex servicemen is not right. Yes,they are given priority with some special marks. But they just assist you to get through a tie. They cannot just get you in. The marks awarded to OR’s is more than that of officers’ wards. But after all said,I must say that the most important determinants are your NEET marks and Interview performance.

It was the only college entrance exam I took —for me, it was UP or die. I was fairly confident. I found the test a breeze. I don’t want to sound arrogant but that’s my honest perception. When I got out of the testing center, I told my father, “I’m glad you didn’t spend thousands on review centers because the test was easy!” He looked at me, surprised, and said something to the effect of, “Whoa! Don’t say that out loud; people might think you’re being arrogant.”It also helped that I came from a science high school where almost everyone passed the UPCAT — passing rates were 98% or so.When the results got out, plot twist: I couldn’t find my name on the boards posted at the registrar’s office. I tried in vain, looking for all permutations of my last name. DELA PEÑA? DE LA PEÑA? DELA PENA? None. I was heartbroken, on the verge of tears. I was so sure I would pass. I saw all of my friends’ names and felt so bad for myself. Then a classmate told me to check the Pending List. Indeed, I found my name there. My school wasn’t able to forward my Form 137 (Transcript of Records) yet, and high school grades were included in the results, so my results was withheld. At least there’s still hope. Two weeks later, mourning was turned to dancing as I got the sweetest surprise. It turns out I’m in the top 50 passers and that qualified me for the full ride UP Oblation scholarship. That’s my UPCAT story. It set the tone for the rest of my university life: full of ups and downs, heartbreak, and new experiences. UP broke me and made me.
