What Are The Ritalin Pills Side Effects Pls Someone Help Me

Ritalin is ruining my life, help please?

I've been taking Ritalin for 4 months now. Normally, before all this, (I'm a 15 year old girl) I was creative, shy, quiet, I loved writing short stories and poetry and I loved watching movies. I was sad alot, but I could deal with it. Now, theres not alot of pleasure out of reading and writing and listening to music, I feel really depressed and sometimes I cry in my room for hours, esspecially over weekends when I don't take the pill, I feel lonely and upset and everything seems like a huge problem. Ritalin worked miracles for me, but only for the first week. Now I just feel dull when I take it, and when I don't take it I feel really upset. I'm really scared that my brain shrunk or if I'll be depressed for life. Can taking 40mg of Ritalin (I don't have ADD, I just daydream alot. I can't even daydream anymore) can taking it for 4 months cause permanent damage? Should I stop taking it?

How do I overcome the stomachache side effect of Ritalin?

I just switched from Adderal to Ritalin for ADD/ADHD. I like it better, for the most part, and I've stopped losing weight (I had lost an unhealthy amount due to the appetite suppressing effect of Adderal).

But I'm experiencing the stomach side effects of Ritalin. :( I keep getting stomach pain, nausea, I threw up twice over the past week or so, and even kind of an acidic chest pain type thing. It's mostly in the morning.

PLEASE HELLLLP, this sucks! Is there anything I can do - foods I should eat or not eat - to help ease these unpleasant effects? I don't know what to do, in part because I don't know exactly what the drug is doing to cause this. I'll reallllly appreciate any info you offer me...

How does buspirone interact with Ritalin/Adderall?

I haven’t seen anyone in my practice use this medication in decades. Mostly, due to the side effects and general efficacy over time (loss of effectiveness). Buspirone has the potential for insomnia, angry outbursts, lightheadedness/dizziness which could worsen with a stimulant (Note: ADHD medications have the potential for similar side effects). Buspirone can also cause drowsiness and fogginess which is counterproductive to someone trying to get attention/focus with an ADHD brain. There are a number of other potential serious side effects with this drug such as skeletal-muscular, cardiovascular, etc.If you are taking Buspirone for anxiety, it is of my opinion that you resolve those issues first in therapy before treating the ADHD. Putting a band aid on it with Buspirone, or any other anti-anxiety med, has no diminishing returns. I, personally don’t see the benefit of this combo since there are numerous other newer meds available that target anxiety better and are compatible with stimulants.

RITALIN MAKING ME SO ANGRY???!!!! HELP ME PLEASE. 10 POINTS?

HI. OK, SO I HAVE BEEN ON RITALIN FOR TWO WEEKS TOMORROW.

I AM 15. AND YEAH, THE ONLY JUST REALISED I HAD LIKE ADHD A WHILE AGO

ANYWAY, I TOOK IT IN THE HOLIDAYS FIRST. i figured i would be really happy about 50 mins after ive taken it, then SO FREAKING ANNOYED. i am not at school now, but this ritalin seriously making me so freaking mad. i am pissed off. i get so annoyed over NOTHING. and i feel like i could cry right now. im just so annoyed,. SO ANGRY. I AM LIKE RAGING

ANYWAY, and also, like the second time i had it at school,
maths was the first class, and WHAT THE F**K, i swear it idnt even work
yeah i understood the maths more, but when the teacher was talking the next thing i knew i was FREAKING GETTING DISTRACTED AND PLAYING WITH MY HAIR!! I WAS LIKE WTF!! this doesnt even farking work.

I SWEAR IT DOESNT EVEN HELP ME. its the short lasting one btw

does ritalin make you angry? why cant i just be freaking smart like my friends.
HAHA i just started crying, can you beliebve it? I HATE THIS MEDICINE!!!!

My son with ADHD refuses to take Ritalin as it makes him very irritable when it starts wearing off. Is this a usual side effect?

For cripes sake. Possibly a doctor with a working hearing aid would be better. It's 101% OK to say something like, "yes, the methylphenidate (concerta/ritalin) works better for most people, but Jake gets bad side effects and nothing like that happened with strattera, which also worked GREAT. Please order that instead."If it isn't a hearing problem, there is a strong possibility that your health care plan will not pay for a newer patent drug until the patient tries the cheaper ones first. He's tried those and has problems with them. Cool. That's what they need to hear.Best of luck to you both, and a migraine headache to the insurance buffoons of the world.
