What Are The Top Colleges In Cleveland Ohio For A Web Design Degree Visual Communication And

Cleveland State University?

I am currently a graphic design major at West Virginia University. I am thinking about transferring to CSU next fall. What have you heard about their graphic design program? Positives? Negatives?
Also, if you attend CSU and you're majoring in a different area, what is your overall impression of the school?

I have heard that there are better colleges to attend in Ohio but I am unable to afford them. CSU is much cheaper than other schools I have looked at so please do not reply with advice to attend a different school. Thank you.

Should I pursue Web Development at a for profit school Or Visual Communications at Ohio State? Please Read Below.

Thanks for asking. I also don't have an answer about DeVry, as I have no knowledge of them. I, too, have heard bad things about vocational schools. An example would be those that advertise hard to get veterans to sign up in order to get the veteran's GI bill money for tuition. In some situations, the education may not be as good as a normal college, and the school may put more into advertising than they do into good instruction and supporting the students. But the schools get and keep the money whether the student succeeds or not. That said, many people do fine at these vocational schools.California Suspends ITT Tech GI Bill Eligibility Anger grows over GI Bill profiteers I call these "vocational schools" because regular large universities are, IMO, clearly for-profit even if their legal standing says they are not. They're non-profit in the same nonsensical way that the NFL and NCAA are non-profit. And they also may have questionable marketing practices. But I digress. Why Not Online?I am puzzled by one thing - that you cannot do online schooling. If you strongly dislike online activities, and prefer face-to-face, I do get that. If you can't afford any online access, that's an understandable problem, but you are posting here. :) It's just that the jobs you're describing sound quite online to me, especially Web Developer, so I would have thought this wouldn't be a hindrance. Also, if you have to stay in Columbus, your job options may be very limited without working online. I would even argue that many universities move very slowly in the technology realm, and may be behind the curve in their instruction. Obviously there are exceptions, such as MIT, CalTech, Stanford, and so on. So I would suggest that you talk to students and graduates at these schools to find out what's really going on there. Interview PeopleIn fact, maybe questions about DeVry and/or Ohio State communications and web students right here on Quora may get you started. But try to talk to people directly if you can.

How do people make digital concept pictures for iPhones like this?

This is built in 3D design packages like 3DS Max by Autodesk, Modo by foundary, Sketchup by Google (many others). They then can map textures like the appearance of the phones interface and other textures to the 3D object inside the software. Once all the maps (which are basically the visual appearance of textures and surfaces) are created the object is then rendered out inside the 3D software package or moved to another software that specializes in rendering like Keyshot, for example.3D software packages come in all shapes and sizes to suit any specific artists needs and preferences. I find most folks in the concept industry will use Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, Sketchup and last but not least, Modo. (And yes, the are many more)The more organic form 3D sculpting software  would be Zbrush, Mudbox and 3D Coat. There are a plethora of other packages that  specialize in other areas like clothing and fabric then there's the multitude of different plugins to enhance each package.
