What Are The Use Of Anthropomorphism In The Following Quote

I need an example of anthropomorphism..?

Lots of atheists in the Religion & Spirituality section use anthropomorphism when they say things like, "If God were real, He would do this. . .," or, "If God were real, He would never do that. . ." They're ascribing human attitudes and perspectives to Someone who isn't a human being.

What is the meaning of “imbue”? For example, Anthropomorphism describes the tendency to imbue the real or imagined behavior of nonhuman agents with humanlike characteristics, motivations, intentions, or emotions

In Latin, “imbuere” means ‘to moisten’. From the Latin, we get the English word “imbue”, meaning ‘to saturate’. Imbue may be used to describe something which is ‘filled’, “permeated’ or ‘saturated’ in some way. It’s often used figuratively - eg. “His politics were imbued with his religious ideals.”In your quote, the author is saying that we interpret animal behaviours by assuming that animals have the same attitudes and emotions as humans do.

Did Satan invent the word "anthropomorphic"?

by using that word, many people can justify all sorts of atrocities against animals. If someone points out the animals suffering, the scientist just sneers and says they're being "anthropomorphic". Meanwhile, Satan creams in his pants.

The quote about the world being controlled by a pipe smoking rabbit isn't from Alice in Wonderland, right?

I came across a picture of a tattoo of Marc Johns's picture, which says: "unbeknownst to most, the world is completely controlled by a single pipe smoking rabbit", and people saying it's from Alice in Wonderland. I've read both books, and it's definitely not, right? Or am I going mad?

What happens if a human turned to an anthropomorphic animal? Would it still have human rights?

Depends on how they act. If they act like an animal, no. If they affect an English accent, wear clothes, and quote Shakespeare, people will most likely be convinced he’s just in a really good costume. If you’re insisting there’s been some sort of public “outing” of the fact they really are now an anthro animal who used to be human, it depends on how that process went, and also very much on how the anthro acted during it.People remember the black and white movies of Frankenstein’s monster going “FIRE BAD!” and do not know the monster was quite eloquent in the book: “I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other.” Still a monster. His acts (rage when he can’t get his way) show what he is.

What does, 'The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing' mean, and where is it from?

It means that a simple tried, tested and reliable solution will usually be able to cope with most problems. The fox is cunning, and can try many different forms of attack - however the hedgehog knows that all it has to do is curl into a ball, and it will be safe from whatever the fox tries.
Can't help with the origins though.

Help with a Beowulf quote :) 10 pts easy!?

I think "unlocking words from deep in his breast" can mean several thing. He could have said the words very loudly, or he could be saying words that were very heartfelt and deep. Good luck with that Beowulf is FULL of anthropomorphic and metaphorical language.
