What Are The Vocal Effects Used In The Song

What are the vocal effects used in the song "Fade Away" by We Came As Romans?

I know they use stuttering in the song, but what's the name of the vocal effect used right before the final chorus, where like his voice like slips and gets all weird? I don't know how to describe it, but it's right before the last chorus. I seriously only like the song because of that one part but I have no idea what the effect is.

Does Ozzy use vocal effects?

psh. have you heard Ozzy live? no way. Of course he uses effects in the studio. Listen to "Crazy Train", "Bark at the Moon", "I Don't Know", "Revelation-Mother Earth". He doesn't always use that but there's evidence that he has before. Ozzy has one of the most recognizeable voices in music history!! From his early Black Sabbath days, through his solo career, and back with Sabbath today.

What sound/vocal effect is being used in some pop songs that sound “alien” like or majestic? It’s used in the very beginning of the song “Delicate” by Taylor Swift and also towards the ending of the song “Sometimes” by Ariana Grande.

That have been the Distorted vocals and the tuning over the bridgesAs Taylor Swift himself saidThere's an effect that you may hear on the vocals throughout the vocals on the rest of the album that is recurring, and it's a vocoder. It's a vocal effect where you sing, and the vocoder splits your voice into chords, and you can play your voice on a keyboard, in chords. So basically, if you're singing the notes of a piano, and you could play your own voice. So that's what you'll hear in the beginning, and throughout the song, and then you'll hear it several times. We tried it in the studio, and I thought it sounded really emotional, and really vulnerable, and really kind of, like, sad but beautiful. The lyrics used in the Video are Fresh with the coolness of the Grammy Winner. She is the one who always bring the depth in the Videos as what is observed in the BLANK SPACE.

What vocal effect/method has been used in this song?

Vocal harmonizing + selective mixing and mastering (which can involve a variety of techniques to bring out the particular qualities you may find desirable). You can find plenty of live renditions on youtube which reflect the less production-polished representation of this song.If you are doing a solo vocal/project cover, you will probably have to multitrack your vocals so you can do multiple tonal layers.

What vocal effects does Kid Cudi use?

It kind of has an echo like two people are singing it on some words and lines. It has a real nice sound to it so if anybody could help me out.

Also, how about Drake?

Vocal effects, Pumped up Kicks?

I don't think it's anything unusual. Pretty much every vocal track on any professionally mixed album has reverb, compression, and EQ on it. Here, it sounds like there's slightly more reverb than usual, like it might be compressed more tightly than normal, and like most of the low frequencies have been cut using EQ.

So, basically, the same effects as usual - just more of them.

What vocal mix effect is used on the song "Behind The Wall Of Sleep" by Black Sabbath?

That's entirely possible, back then the technology was not as advanced as it is today, obviously and some of the techniques were multi tracking, stereo separation, backwards tape effects, vocoders, distortions...plus add in the drug use that Ozzy and the rest of the band were into and there's how you get some of that experimenting with the sounds that alot of 60's and '70's bands did.

How can you make vocal effects like in the song O Superman by Laurie Anderson, or like in a lot of Daft Punk songs?

That’s a vocoder, a device which was invented in the 30s for telecommunications purposes but which got repurposed as a musical instrument in the 1960s.It works by filtering the inputted signal (your voice) and putting it through an envelope follower, which registers changes in the signal but does not convey the exact waveform itself, only how it changes over time. These changes in the envelope are then used to modify the output signal, which in the case of the musical use of the vocoder is whatever musical note you’re playing. So what you get is speech where the particular timbre of the person’s voice has effectively been replaced by a musical note, but it’s still intelligible as speech because the output is being modified by the envelope created by the input.Hopefully I haven’t garbled this too much. Vocoders are fairly simple devices and not very expensive, and have come a long way from the large and unreliable one installed in the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, which the late Douglas Adams remembered as being capable only of emitting ‘a few vaguely threatening hums’. You can get a vocoder guitar effects pedal for less than £150, and vocoder-equipped synths are also quite inexpensive.

What plugin/effects are on these chorus vocals?

The center vocal has very little if any effects on it. The other vocals you hear are the same singer recorded twice, one take panned hard right and the other hard left. A small amount of verb, not much else. Of course there could be some EQ, compression, etc OR it could just be an ideal mic and room with no plugins at all. It's nearly impossible to tell just by hearing it, especially with all the other stuff in there.

What is the effect used by singers in a song like this?

There isn't much on the vocal during the verses so I'm assuming your question is geared towards the chorus. Firstly, adjust the tone of your vocals with an EQ and the dynamics with a compressor. Next, use a large reverb, such as a hall, to increase the width and depth of your vocals. Finally, use a stereo delay set to 16th with a short cut off time. Play with the level you send into the reverb and delay until you get the desired effect. You can add a chorus (it's a type of effect) onto the vocal to give it an extra sense of width and shimmer.
