What Are These Small Bumps On My Wrist And Neck

Itchy red bumps on my wrist?

A few days ago I noticed this small itchy bumps on my wrist they are red and itch like crazy they are three of them on my wrist I sleep on the same bed nothing has changed what can I do to make them go away and itching to stop. Is they anything i can buy at the drug store to help with this???

Why do I have small raised bumps on my wrist?

Small raised bumps on the wrist….you didn’t mention if they itch so I’m flying blind on this one. Have you been WEARING a watch, jewelry or carrying something that you normally DONT carry with that wrist? Or perhaps tried a perfume somewhere in that area? Or used public bathroom soap you may have accidentally left residue behind til the next hand washing? Even if you wore jewelry that’s 925 Sterling silver or 10, 14 or 24 kt gold…there are metals that they mix the precious metals with that can cause allergic reactions or chemical reactions with lotions, soaps and perfumes. And if the items are plated, the plating may have worn enough to expose the underlying metal to cause issues. Like I said, I’m flying blind on this one. Do some detective work and use hydrocortisone cream if the bumps itch and unscented moisturizer if they don’t. Try to avoid whatever you may discover is the culprit.

I've had a small "mosquito bite" like bump on my wrist and it has a small pus pocket within the bump. It also feels itchy and sometimes hurts when I scratch it. What is it and how do I cure it?

You really should see a doctor.... Although it is probably nothing to worry about you shouldn't take any chances. If you can't get to the doctor right away my advice would be to at least go to a good pharmacist & show them. There may be something they can suggest that will clear it up. Either way, don't ignore it. Let someone have a look at it.

Small itchy bumps in a straight line?

About a week ago I woke up to find two small blister like, but very very small, bumps on my inner wrist. It looked like a spider bite to me, so I put some cortisone cream on it and went about my day. Now, a week later, it has turned into six bumps in a straight line on my wrist. It is intensely itchy at times, and any topicals just burn. Most of the blisters are still intact as I refuse to directly touch/scratch them and break them. It is not poison ivy as I haven't spent time outdoors recently. Any ideas as to what they are anyone?

I have goosebumps all over my chest and neck?

They may be Keratosis Pilaris (KP).

check it out, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keratosis_pilaris

While KP resembles goose bumps, it is characterized by the appearance of small rough bumps on the skin. As a result, many people with keratosis pilaris do not know they have it, and it is often confused with acne.

Keratosis pilaris occurs when the human body produces excess keratin, a natural protein in the skin. The excess keratin, which is cream colored, surrounds and entraps the hair follicles in the pore.

The treatment is nutritional. I have talked with an 18 year old male who cleared it up 90% in one month taking SBT Seabuckthorn Single Source Capsules

I have no reason to lie to you and I suspect you will benefit greatly.

How can I treat a lump on my wrist bone?

You don’t!Even though the odds might favor this lump being a ganglion cyst, neither nor any of us strangers on the internet know this for sure, and if you follow the preceding answer’s unqualified advice, then welcome to the 1930s state-of-the -art practice of Medicine! That is why you should see you your Physician in person! As a Radiologist, is it my business to know anything about this? You betcha! Whom do you think the PCPs call on when a patient presents with such a lump on a wrist? (By the way, the wrist is not one bone; it contains eight.)WHY do they call on us to execute & interpret radiographs of the wrist? So we can exclude the cause of the lump from being something else. Also, EVEN if your lump is a ganglion cyst, many doctors will follow it clinically w/o manipulating it, as many of them spontaneously resolve.

Why is pulse generally measured via the wrist or the neck, rather than the chest over the heart itself?

The concept  is a lot simpler but my answer is a little long windedYour heart has a double beatLub dub lub dubFirst your artium then ventricles contract. Lub dub lub dubYour pulse is the waveform generated by the left ventricle as the blood is pushed to the periphery a single beat that is easier to monitor as a peripheral pulseThe strength of your pulse and the rate also variesIf you blood pressure is low Ie you faint or feel faint your peripheral pulse usually felt in the radial artery  can be weak.So we are taught to assess the radial pulse also as a quick way to look for hypotension which may indicate blood loss, fluid issues  and or  impending shockPulses generally are lost with hypotension (low blood pressure)Radial , Brachial, femoral and finally no carotid pulse( usually a bad sign if no blood us going to ones head)So it's a long held natural way to check a pulse at the wrist for both rate and strength Ie the rate or frequency and the amplitude or strengthThe neck has a stronger pulse and for the lay person it's generally easier to teach someone to self monitor there because it's just easier to locate But you can monitor your pulse by putting your hand over your left ventricle  especially if in your own body just where to feel.  It's just in a thicker individual it's harder to find quickly Finally several additional pointsIf  I wanted to check the pulse of someone I walked up to you'd find some who don't appreciate my laying my hands on their chest or grabbing their neck.It is harder and more awkward to go after a chest pulse in a "stranger"; clothes, etiquette and breasts may play a role there unless its a real medical issue. Most wrists are readily accessible. Never check a carotid pulse on both sides at once unless your a Wwf wrestler looking  to use a sleeper hold! The original post etiology likely is related to monitoring their own pulse after exercise and admittedly it is pretty easy to feel you own "pulse" when your heart is racing and thumping vigorously in your own chest.

Painless Lump Under Skin In Right Side Of Neck?

I don't Know How long I had it, but I found it a week ago. It is painless, slightly moveable, tender-ish, and under my skin. What Is It? Im going to see the doctor.

How can I treat a firm lump in my neck?

You cannot treat a firm lump in your neck. The most common cause of these lumps is a swollen lymph node. They can be caused by bacteria or viral infections, a malignancy (cancer) or some other rare disease. Lymph nodes are part of the lymphatic system, which is a vital part of the immune system. They contain cells that help your body fight off infections and attack malignant cells.See a physician as soon as possible.
