Will drinking white rum cure asthma?

A moderate quantity of whiskey can significantly enhance your body's capacity to regulate insulin and glucose levels, thereby lowering the chance of creating diabetes. There isn't much to whiskey, frankly, except for a large sum of alcohol, but with respect to its organic compounds, whiskey is full of ellagic acid, which is an incredibly strong antioxidant and is accountable for a great deal of the positive aspects. It is a blood-thinner, so it significantly lowers your chances of excess clotting. It's possible to pour whiskey on a fresh wound to make sure that it does not become infected.Asthma is becoming a huge drug industry. Are peak flow meters good for monitoring asthma?

peak flow meters can give incorrect reading if done incorrectly. they usually read the first few milliseconds of the first blow -- and they don't care about the rest. if you have been having irregular readings, it could be you're coughing into the PFM -- which will give a high reading because of the force.

they cannot monitor if you are having an asthma attack, but if you take your reading before getting your nebulizer treatment, and taking it after the treatment again -- this will tell if the therapy is working for you -- there should be an improvement. that's what the peak flow meter is for.

Does untreated asthma really damage your lungs?

i was born with asthma, same with my father and his father. we are runners though. my father and grandfather both lived in india and ran. they had asthma attacks all the time after 15 minutes of track. they didnt have meds so they had to live through it. im lucky since im in america and have meds. they both had great times. my grandpa is 91 and still runs and my father is 51 and runs. i am following my familys legacy by running. we are fighters. nothing happened to them because asthma effects your capilarries in your lungs. momentarily they constrict and become large and hard to pump air. nothing shall effect your muscles except tightness in your stomach area. btw my grandpa does hookah every friday and hes fine even with asthma. dont worry. god made us this way for a reason unknown to us so jus dont worry. and i myself have been to the ER 23+ times. albuterol and nebulizer seems to work. sorry if i was a bit random at times. i didnt fully read your question. and no asthma goes away by itself.

Is lung capacity varied for child, adult and old agers?

lung capacity usually refers to volume, so naturally it will vary with age , ht, and sex, and even for nationality, as asian lung volumes tend to be smaller due to smaller general body size. Volumes are usually measured by a spirometer, which can also measure airflows, TLC is total lung volume, (VC plus RV, which is the remaing lung volume after maximal exhation) VC is the vital capacity Maximal volume from maximal exhalation to maximal inhalation, VT is tidal volume(normal volume of each breath)) Rv is measured using special technical tests. PFM is a measure of flow only and is used mainly for asthma management

Are there any home remedies for asthma?

There are no cures, but there are a few things you can do to reduce the risks and/or symptoms:

-exercise regularly in order to expand your lungs
**EDIT: of course follow your doctors guidelines about the exercise thing..don't overexert yourself if it puts you at the risk of an asthma attack..still, in the long run, exercising does improve lung capacity
-keep a clean house and be sure to vaccuum (mainly because of dust)
-Taking a hot shower to breath in the vapors helps me
-Nebulizers can help you breath better, but make sure to get a good brand, otherwise it may lead to fungus growth, making your asthma even worse
-wash your bedding regularly
-don't let pets sleep with you or into the bedroom
-wash your hands and face after working outside
-don't keep too many stuffed animals in your bed (dust builds up on them)
-don't smoke
-A diet high in sucrose and refined carbohydrates (white flour based foods, supermarket snack foods, junk food etc) may aggravate pre-exisiting allergies and can cause all kinds of other problems, so these should be avoided and replaced with whole-food alternatives.
-Reduce/avoid milk, dairy and wheat products, as these can cause mucous congestion in the body.
-use an air cleaner
-buy hypo-allergenic products as often as you can
-avoid scented cleaners or air freshners
-hard floors are better for asthma sufferers than carpets, which trap dust
-of course, avoid allergens

Obviously it would be very difficult to do everything I just listed, but just a few choice changes can cause a big improvement!
hope these help :-)
