Why does my cat bring me her toys at night?
Attention and love. Oddly enough cats kinda do this payment system. In the cats eyes, here you are, a fellow being, giving them shelter, food, love, toys, etc, etc. So in return, theyre gonna go "hunt" something for you (often times a favorite toy), and bring it to you. Notice when she does it that she looks at you all proud? Yeah xD My kitten has been doing it alot lately. We had a hurricane recently and she was scared alot. So I conforted her. Now.. 4-5 times a day shell find this one ratty tatty toy mouse (she loves it, and its like as big as her head), bites it, and walks around the house crying her eyes out til she finds me. When she does, she runs up, and plops it at my feet, purring. She wont leave til I pay attention to her and praise her for such nice work. You should praise them when they do this, while you might think youre telling them to keep it up, youre actually telling them "Thank you! I love it!" and they feel theyve done a good job.
