What Are Your Favorite And Best Eco Friendly Organic Or Green Baby Toys

What companies make the best eco-friendly early childhood toys?

I'd define "eco-friendly" as having three main components: 1) Environmentally sustainable2) Healthy for your kids to chew on3) Well-madeThe company Green Toys makes all of its toys from recycled milk jugs. They are BPA, PVC, and phthalate free. My kids have a set of their toy dishes as well as a big dump truck. All of their stuff has held up well despite getting regularly buried in the sand. So Green Toys meets all three of the above requirements. Here's a link to the "Green" section of their website: http://www.greentoys.com/green.htmlIn the wooden toy market, Plan Toys makes all of its wooden toys from sustainable rubberwood from rubber trees. Their glues, dyes, and paints are all non-toxic. We have a bunch of their cars and trains, a pull-along toy, and a dollhouse set with people. Everything is well-made, pleasingly designed, and durable. So Plan Toys meets all of the requirements as well. Here's a link to their "Green" section: http://www.plantoys.com/about_wh...

Suggestions of Friendly Wording for Baby Shower?

I am having an insert card made to go along with the invite for baby shower. I want it to touch on all the points listed below. How can it be written so it doesn't come off sounding 'picky' or just rude? I don't want anyone to take it the wrong way. Being 'green' isn't a very common thing around here, so a lot of people just don't get it, which is why the insert cards were suggested, just to put parents-to-be's wishes out there since it is important to them. Try to think of how it would come across if you received this in an invitation sent to you:

In an effort to be eco-friendly, Casey has requested:

1. Suggest that gifts be wrapped in recycled paper or even baby blankets.

2. Encourage guests to purchase eco friendly baby gifts. These are items made from organic cotton, wool, or silk, furniture and toys made from sustainable products.

3. An alternative to new gifts can include gently used baby items found at a local consignment store, perhaps from the guest's own child, or even a yard sale. If the guest of honor really is as environmentally conscious to want an eco friendly baby shower, then she will more than appreciate these gifts.

4. Mommy-to-be is registered at A, B &C

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Is buying organic cotton clothing for babies a rising trend amongst new mothers?

My view is very simple for all things which are used by humans, what you eat, wear and drink -which comes from nature is good and it is very important for kids because they do not have the toughness to handle all that plastic being sold nowdays and people wonder why do they have all kinds of allergies nowdays . It is true for food too , kids cannot eat this or that because their immune system has gone in REJECTION mode , we never had this problem when we grew up.That is the main reason , lot of moms are turning to organic clothes to organic food. My wife is totally against non-ogranic and I see her point that you cannot believe things which affect you after 20 years and she says, its a slow poison , it accumulates over the 2–3 decades in human beings and Science do not have time to experiment for 20–30 years and that is the basic logic behind science to support the non-ogranic food because by the time, you will have some sickness, you cannot attribute it to non-ogranic food or clothes or whatever chemical generated item you are using in your life.Nature has its own way of cleaning up things which are not good for this planet but nature does not have way to clean up MAN-MADE chemicals and hence result is infront of us, lots of life threatening dieasese nowdays.PS- My wife runs a skin-friendly clothes store www.LinaAndMickey.com

How does Go Green help the environment?

Going green helps the environment by reducing the amount of pollution that enters the soil, water and air. By using alternative energy sources and avoiding the burning of fossil fuels, recycling and reducing waste and driving more efficiently, fewer pollutants are released into the environment.Reducing energy consumption, using alternative energy sources and recycling reduces the strain on these resources and cuts down on emissions. For example, the Environmental Protection Agency estimates that recycling just one plastic bottle conserves enough energy to light a 60-watt light bulb for up to six hours.Reducing waste helps the environment by decreasing the amount of material that ends up in landfills, where they can biodegrade and release carbon dioxide which contributes to the greenhouse gas effect. The Environmental Protection Agency also encourages recycling in lieu of incinerating waste, which can release smoke or other potentially harmful pollutants into the air.By reducing your consumption of paper products, buying recycled and recycling whenever possible, you can help to slow the rate of extinction for species that live in wooded areas. Going green also reduces the threat to marine wildlife that dies each year as a result of encountering pollutants or trash in the water supply.

What are some of the best environmentally friendly products?

Eco-Friendly Bottles: A Greener Solution on Plastic PollutionThe use of eco-friendly bottles has risen at a rapid pace in recent years in response to the growing support to environmental causes from governments and the masses alike. Also, the eagerness of key competitors to cash in on the growing support to environmentalism, which has led to consistent innovation, as well as steady government support drives demand for eco-friendly bottles. The accumulation of plastic waste as a result of years of unregulated manufacture of plastic bottles and cans has put a negative toll on the environment. The non-biodegradable nature of plastic waste along with the deterioration it causes to the soil has made it necessary to find a replacement for plastic bottles and other objects. Hence, eco-friendly bottles have gained popularity across the globe, and this has given an impetus to the eco-friendly bottles industry.Download PDF Sample for More Information About eco-friendly bottlesMaterial - Polylactic Acid, Cellulose, Starch, Water Soluble Polymers, Aliphatic/Aromatic Co-polyesters, Moulded Fiber, Polyhydroxyalkanoates, Bio-derived PolyethyleneApplications - Mineral Water, Non-alcoholic Beverages, Household Products
