What Are Your Opinions On The Golden Globe Ceremony

What's the difference between the Oscars and the Golden Globes?

The preeminent awards in the field of motion pictures and arts include The Golden Globe Awards and The Academy Awards.
The Golden Globe Awards are distributed annually by the HFPA i.e. Hollywood Foreign Press Association. It is given in both domestic and foreign categories. The Academy Awards popularly known as the Oscars are undoubtedly the most prestigious in all awards. It is awarded by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The Golden Globe Awards are always followed by the Oscars. In other words, we can say that, the Oscars are always preceded by The Golden Globe Awards.
The first Academy Awards ceremony was held on May 16, 1929. The venue for the ceremony was Hotel Roosevelt located in the Hollywood. The first Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held in the year 1944 (in the month of January). The venue for the ceremony was the 20th Century Fox studios located in the Los Angeles, California.

The Golden Globe Awards are given to all the forms of media, but Academy Awards are given only to the motion pictures (including both documentary & animation feature films). Yes, in case of Oscars separate awards are given to writer(s), an original music score, cinematography and screenplay. Posthumous nominations and awards are common in both Golden Globes and Oscars.

The voting system followed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (for Golden Globes) and American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (for Oscars) are quite distinct from one another. The voting in Golden Globe is done by the international journalists who are living in Hollywood and are affiliated with the media outside the USA. In case of Oscar, the voting is done by the academy’s committee members. The voting bloc is divided into different categories like for actors, directors, writers and so on. Presently, the actors comprise the major voting bloc in the Oscars.

Emmy,Grammy,Oscar,Golden globe?

Oscar is for movies. Emmy is for television. Grammy is for music. Golden Globe is a secondary award for both movies and television. None of them really mean much anymore.

What is your say about Meryl Steep's speech at 2017 Golden Globes award?

Meryl Streep is an actress. She’s not a politician, nor is she the world’s smartest woman. She also didn’t invent a cure for cancer. What she says doesn’t matter to me. It matters to her fans, sure, maybe, but to the whole country, her comments mean nothing.I do have something to say to her, though. Trump did not mock the reporter’s disability. Yes, he mocked a disable reporter. But he wasn’t mocking the reporter’s disability. He was mocking the reporter’s nervous system. (confusing right? but I have proof). As Mark Dice brilliantly points out in this YouTube video, Donald Trump did not mock the reporter’s disablity. Instead, he just did the same hand action he does all the time when mocking people. He did it with Ted Cruz, he did it with Hillary Clinton: he does it all the time. And that’s why, while I care nothing for Meryl Streep’s Trump comments, I wish she had been better informed on what he actually did that day.
