What Are Your Thoughts About Anime Or Manga

What are your thoughts on the Golden Kamuy anime and manga series?

The manga is really, really good. It’s like a Japanese western, in many ways, with an atmosphere I haven’t quite seen in other manga. The characters are funny and compelling, the art is extremely expressive and the story and premise are unique and treated well. Also, it’s very informative about a culture — the Ainu — and a time period — the Russo-Japanese War and its aftermath — rarely discussed elsewhere. The anime, however … well, it’s also good, in that it’s a page-by-page adaptation of the manga, but I can’t help but feel like it’s kind of rushed.I don’t mind the CG animals, not on their own. The problems are more diffuse: the voice acting is often almost boring, moments that should be dramatic and important are glanced over without leaving an impression, the fight scenes are underwhelming, the aforementioned documentary aspect is outright skipped over, the music doesn’t stand out and frankly, the whole thing feels (and probably is) very low-budget. You can practically taste the studio’s lack of passion. (On the plus side, the opening and end credits are pretty good?)I’d say you’re better off reading the manga. The anime doesn’t really add any value to it, and you’ll be able to appreciate it better at your own pace.

Can any indian anime/manga loving ladies share your thoughts about anime and manga, the genres that you mostly enjoy and why you enjoy it? Do you also enjoy Japanese or Korean drama?

Why am I writing this answer? Well, I freaking love anime. So how did I get into anime?Around 2 years back, a friend of mine told me that this anime called Naruto was something she loved as a child although she didn’t really watch anime. Me, being the dumbass WHO LOVED CARTOONS ended up watching Naruto and that’s when my obsession with anime began. When I watched Naruto, I realised that anime taught me more than anything else in the world. Morals, perseverance, integrity and basically everything. After finishing Naruto, I watched tonnes of different anime of all sorts of genres (hey, I’ve not watched Hentai though xD) and each and every one of them have had an impact - however big or small - on my life. Slice of life to lighten my mood, romance anime to make me aware of the fact that I’ll die single and what not xDAlso, people in anime are just so perfect and genuine and amazing that you literally forget about real people and problems (okay some may say it’s bad or weird, but like I don’t care about what you think lol) and just getting transported into a world like that, just gets me ecstatic. As of Korean and Japanese drama, haven’t really watched any, but I love Japanese music - it’s so beautiful.Speaking of music, no, I don’t like Korean music xD

Beelzebub anime to manga...?

Well, Beelzebub won the 19th French best Manga Award Grand Prix, so of course the manga is freakin' awesome

The anime on the other hand was a big Fail, they started ok but at the end they ignored the original plot and did plenty of fillers and gave it a crappy alternative Ending.

If you want to know what's really been going on in the real plot, then you should start at Chapter 112, if you're in a hurry, then go to 118 but I doubt you would understand since the anime went in another direction.

Comedy in the manga is much funnier than in the anime. I really hope you enjoy reading it (There wasn't a lot of interesting fights going on recently but it's so entertaining that I don't mind)

What do you think of fanservice in anime and manga?

It's alright, if isn't not IN YOUR FACE. *cough*highschoolofthedead*cough* I can take fanservice :)

How do people who've never seen the anime or manga feel about Netflix's Death Note?

I have heard about Death Note the anime for a while, and I thought it was such an amazing idea for a show. I never had the time to watch it though. I saw Netflix had Death Note the movie and I so had to watch it. So, i watched it. I really loved it! Never seeing the anime but watching this movie, i can say i really loved it. It was interested and kept me on my toes. Now, fast forward a week later, I watched the anime in two days. the anime is amazing. like, fabulous. The anime compared to the movie is so much better. But what people don’t understand is the netflix movie wasn’t trying to copy the anime 100%. It just wanted to take the idea and have a different spin to it. Obviously a lot of people didn’t like that they changed Lights and Misa’s names, but they had to modernize it. First watching the movie, the only thing I didn’t understand is why L was so emotional. But watching the anime I learned he wasn’t and isn’t emotional. But again, people have to understand. Most movies follow a basic plot and the characters follow a basic rule. They put roughly 37 episodes off the anime into 1 hour and 30 minutes. To summarize my rant, watching the movie first, I liked it. I had no idea what happened in the anime other than there’s a book that kills people, so my opinion on the movie was pure and fresh. After watching the anime, I still think the movie is good, just not as great as the anime.

Is it okay for a boy to read/watch Shōjo manga anime/manga?

not really, I'm a girl and I read and watch TONS more Shounens and Seinens than I do Shoujos. just because its directed towards one group of people doesn't mean that only that group of people have merit to like it. theres no thing wrong with it! :D
