What Benefits Should I Be Entitled To

What senior benefits am i entitled to at age 55?

Senior discounts and, if you're an American, soon an expansion of Medicare benefits. Older women will receive expanded preventive services through Medicare like bone-density screenings for those at risk of osteoporosis.  Insurance companies will be barred from dropping women’s coverage when they become sick. Companies will be barred from denying coverage because of “pre-existing conditions,” like having had breast cancer or being the victim of domestic violence. No more “gender rating”—charging women more for coverage just because they are women. This practice, already banned in some states but permitted in thirty-seven others, costs women a staggering $1 billion a year. You can thank the president and the Supreme Court.

Do you claim benefits that you are not entitled to?

I can say as an American who pays taxes and has always paid my taxes I can say as an American who pays taxes and has always paid my taxes there's no one benefit each legal American isn't entitled to. However if a person abuses it then yeah there could be an issue there, but if a person actually uses it for what it's intended doesn't break the law and they have been and are still taxpayers everything that's offered in this country is for American but that does not mean that they should rely on other people's money nor should they get mad if other people want to pull out of that program that is funding what they need. If you don't agree with it you should have the right to not be a part of it.

What benefits is my grandmother entitled to after death of her Veteran Husband?

There are two main types of widow's benefits offered through the VA....widow's pension and DIC (dependency Indeminty compensation). The Pension pays benefits to widows who fall below the VA poverty line. The DIC pays the widow a set monthly amount if the vet died of a service connected disability. Whether the disability is service connected is determined by the VA. There are also some "sub benefits" associated with the two main types. Also, she can apply for burial benefits which will provide an amount between $600 and $2000 to cover the cost of the burial. Also, she can apply for a headstone, marker, and flag.

If chaptered out on a 5-17 chapter, will i be entitles to any benefits?

Honorable discharge gets you all the benefits you are entitled to based upon time in service. If you served 90 days, you qualify for all the standard veteran benefits. If you only served 89 days, then you do not qualify for some of them. You would have to talk to the VA about it.

Better make sure you are willing to accept it because once you do, there is no going back. You will be out permanently and the info on the DD214 will not change. (It will indicate WHY you were separated. For example, mental condition that renders you unfit for service. That kind of sounds like what you are describing.)

Is an impeached president entitled to benefits?

The answer to this question is in two parts. This also assumes that the hypothetical question has been impeached, convicted, and thrown out of office.According to the Former Presidents Act, former presidents are given perks such as office space, funding for staff, postage, pension, etc. This act specifically excludes any president who left office via the impeachment process. So, our hypothetical president wouldn’t get any of those benefits.According to the Former Presidents Protection Act, former presidents get Secret Service protection for the rest of their lives. There is no exclusion to this, except that a former president may decline the protection. So, in the case of our hypothetical president, he would still receive Secret Service protection for the rest of his life.

What benefits am I entitled to under us army discharge chapter 10?

Why do some people on benefits feel so entitled to everything?

If they qualify for those benefits, then they are indeed entitled to use them. That’s the whole point of benefits—to help qualifying people who need them.As a working nurse, I qualify for the benefits my organization provides for me; therefore I feel entitled to them. Not because I’m selfish or lazy, but because I need them, and they are legally available to me. I’d feel the same way if I were living in poverty, and needed and qualified for financial assistance. My own question here would be, why do some people make negative assumptions about total strangers who receive benefits?
