What Can 12 Year Olds Do For Cash

Should I let my 12 year old get a debit card?

Hey there,Times have totally changed over the last few years. The average child gets a savings account when they’re 10 years old and even more surprising - their first smartphone at 10 as well! It’s important to start teaching kids about money at an early age. But, as they get older they’re going to be exposed to things like debit cards or even credit cards. While I wouldn’t recommend getting your child a credit card, a debit card can be a fantastic way to help your 12 year old learn how to become a smart spender. My recommendation is your child is probably ready for a debit card as soon as they have a great understanding of how cash works. Typically, this is around 8–12 years old.Not all debit cards are created equal though, so I’d recommend checking out Greenlight. It was designed specifically for kids and teens, and offers parents a bunch of flexible parental controls that aren’t available your typical bank. Think about it like this, you wouldn’t teach your kids how to ride a bike immediately without letting them get the hang of it with training wheels first right? Greenlight has a number of safety features that make it far safer than cash, and a great way to continue your child’s financial education. (Not to mention, it’s extremely convenient for parents!)Greenlight is the first company to offer store-level controls meaning you can limit the exact stores and amount of money your teens can spend at. Not only that, but you can automate allowances and receive instant notifications as soon as a purchase is made.I’d be happy to answer any additional questions that you have, but feel free to visit us at www.greenlightcard.com for more information.

Easy ways to make money for 12 year old?

well, when I was 12 or 13 years old, me and my friends were planning a trip from Oslo, Norway (where I come from) to the north by train. so we got together and chose 1 task for each one and then we split the money. I was a good cook so I did a bake sale in school. My friend did necklaces that where actually really nice. My 2 other friends did graffitis and drew cool stuff. We worked every day for 3 months, and we finally did our trip for a week and we had like 2 thousand dollars in the end.

How old do you have to be to cash a check made out to you?

Ignore these other ridiculous answers and advertisements...if you already have a bank account you can cash your cash "against" that account at your bank. If not, you can also take it to the bank that the check is drawn off of (the bank that the person that wrote you the check banks with as indicated on the check). You dont have to be a certain age. At many places (including the Walmart suggestion) you'll pay a non-customer or service fee to cash the check OR you can sign it over to a close family member and have them cash it against their bank account for you. I wouldnt get in the habit of paying fees simply to cash your check though.

If I am 12 years old then what is the best way for me to make money?

You can do a lot of small businesses. While you might think of newspapers and lemonade stand, they’re not going to get you anywhere.Buy one of these. Its a battery powered lawn mower that folds up for easy transportation. Go around and find houses that have tall grass and offer to cut it for them.I’ll break it down for youLawn Mower: $350Now that is basically your only expense, other than electricity which you won’t have to worry about at your age.If you find a ton of over grown grass in your neighborhood, offer to cut it for something like $15.Get in and then buy one of theseThis is like $10–15.Now you can use it up in the starting, but here’s the catch. When your already done mowing the grass offer the spray at a discount just say something like, oh I’ll spray this for you for $10 instead of $15, even though it’s supposed to be $10 anyways. You’d break even this time. But after this thing is finished just fill it with water and no one would realize.Psst. I don’t take any responsibility, and this is only for educational purposes.

I found a stack of cash in my 12 year old daughter's room. What should I do?

Are we talking 100 - $1 bills? Are we talking 100 - $20s ($2,000), or 100 - $100 bills ($10,000)If it’s $100, you might be proud of her, maybe she is one hell of a saver maybe she is keeping all her lunch money and birthday money to buy a bigger thing later. That’s a trait of really successful people.OrShe is hustling all the boys at school, I remember seeing a few girls in school who could extract cash from 3–4 boys by being about as flirty as a hooters waitress and they would part ways with their cash like huge idiots. One of them is an A&R man in Nashville now and I’m sure is still getting anything she wants. Men are dumb between the ages of 8 - 80… I’m not sure this is a good skill, but that’s them.Or but when they get into the $10, $20, $100 dollar bill range stacks that’s outperforming the level of success I’d think a 12 year old could even keep a secret about kind of thing. In the $10,000 area, I’d start to worry about how endangered am I in this because that’s drugdeal buy money big and a 12 year old with that kind of cash sitting around ends up getting a movie made about them, and those never end with “and then everyone went home and no one found out about this thing, and everyone lived happily ever after. What you need to do now is sit down with her and have a real talk about what is going on. Then if you need help, remember cops can see your search history and googling “best way to hide a body” is not an easy to overcome thing at a trial.

I'm 12 years old and i need a lot of money?

Okay- first, take a deep breath. Or several shallow ones. The most important thing for you to do is to think for a bit. If you're parents can't afford for you to take electric guitar lessons and buy you an electric guitar, you may have to look into renting one, which is not as glamorous, but it will work for the purpose and cost a lot less (and your doggy money would pretty much cover it.)

Unfortunately, for those of us with 10,000,000,000 interests, expansive imaginations, and no trust fund, we have to pare down these interests- even at 12- to the one that's really, really important to us. All of your interests are probably fighting for supremacy right now, but there's one that's going to stand out. A big question is- do you want to learn to play guitar, or do you want to start a band? If you learn to play guitar, and you get really good, in a few years people will be throwing money at you to buy equipment. Universal truism: Rich people lo-o-ove prodigies. A little patience would do you wonders, in this instance. Personally, I would suggest that route, since your parents will be more willing to help you out with lessons and instrument fees. Even if they can't help you out, rental is an option, and there are plenty of low cost/free music tutors that can teach you how to play. If the music is just kind of secondary, and what you really want is to have the cool factor of being in a band; well, I can't help you out until your legally able to work. Unfortunately, even though you can make money at your age doing little things, you won't be able to work enough to make $3,000 and be serious about being in a band, nevermind being in school at the same time.

As for the iPod- that's fine, but you don't need an iPod touch, specifically, and you can find used 8GB nanos online for $20-$30.

Unicycles you need some training for, if only at the very beginning, and you should probably figure out whether the unicycle or the guitar is more important.

And why in the world do you need three amps? True story: My boyfriend is a guitar God (former child prodigy) and has been playing for twenty years (since he was four), and he does fine with one amp (which you can also get used for way less than $700). (And people threw money at him for his music education starting when he was 15.)

Good luck and All the Best:)

Ways for 12 year old girls to make money easy?

Paper route, baby sitting dog sitter, doing other peoples homework.

Why don't you ask you parent's about getting an allowance even if it's just 5-10 bucks a week. you will have to help out more around the house but ti will give you something to do. If there is a church or a library near by you can put of flyiers to help people for a small amount of money.

You might want to look to your talents. if your good at doing makeup and taking pic you might offer a make up make over to your friends. or to paint their nails.

Or you could be douch and stand outside of your local drug store or grocery store with a cup and pretend it's for your schools soccor fund. up to you.
