What Can Be Done If A Person Was Fired From The Census Bureau And Was On Sick Leave

Uninsured health care statistics?

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/06/26/how_to_lie_with_statistics_--_again_97189.html

46 million (it becomes 50 million when senators really get keyed up) Americans don't have health insurance.

It is true that the 46 million figure is based on unreliable Census Bureau data

But even the less unreliable Congressional Budget Office puts the number at about 31 million.

For one reason, the uninsured figure counts all Americans (and illegal immigrants) who have been uninsured for any amount of time during a year

45 percent of the uninsured are uninsured for four months or less

another portion of uninsured Americans already qualify for existing government health insurance programs

Turns out that 8.4 million uninsured Americans are making $50,000 to $74,999, and 9.1 million more are making more than $75,000

Just curious as to your take on these stats..........

The American Community Survey -- MUST I fill out this census?!!?

Junk mail. Throw it away. The last one looks like it's from someone trying to get into your house when you're not home.

Son of a *****. I just did a quick check and it actually is from the Feds. Here's a site you'll like encouraging you to ignore it.

I suggest filling it out, running it through your shredder, and mailing the pieces back.

What is the average American retirement age?

The average retirement age for Americans is 63 according to the US census bureau. If the social security and medical benefits are working great for you, this would be the best age to retire. Of late, the Americans fear to retire because they think because of inflation there chances that they make go broke during the golden years. If you plan to retire in the near future also, you should draft a workable withdrawal plan to lead a decent life after retirement. Usually, this retirement period lasts for 18 years or a little more than that. We have reached a stage where people are no more willing to retire.American retirement expectations may take into account this average retirement length from the Census. While young Americans ages 18-29 expect to retire at 63, a 2018 Gallup survey says that the average American predicts retirement at age 66.Social Security and Medicare Retirement AgeSocial Security uses the term full retirement age in place of what most of us would think of as average, or normal retirement age. Full retirement age, abbreviated as FRA, represents the age at which you receive your full amount of Social Security benefits.Your year of birth determines your FRA. Anyone turning age 62 in 2017 or beyond will have an FRA that ranges from age 66 to age 67. If you claim benefits before your FRA, you receive a reduced benefit, and if you claim benefits after reaching FRA, you receive an increased benefit.Medicare benefits begin at age 65. If you retire before age 65, you will need to have a plan in place to pay for private health insurance until you are eligible to go on Medicare.Regardless of your age, if you are within five years of when you think you'll want to retire, you should start planning now. Build up cash reserves, develop projections based on various ages to start Social Security, and figure out how much you'll need to spend each year. The more, the number of years you work, the more you can save and maintain the lifestyle you are leading now. Avoid thinking of retiring in your 30’s or 40’s to avoid a negative cash balance on your account. Some people think they can double dip and start Social Security early while also continuing to work. However, if you begin benefits early, you may be subject to the Social Security earnings limit, which will require you to pay some benefits back if you make too much money.

Do you think that being a (legally) American Citizen should be on the US Census questionaire?

it seems reasonable to me that previous census counts assumed the person(s) were her legally. That has changed dramatically over the past 25 years. It is now estimated to be between 15 and 30 million illegal aliens are in the United States.Hence the states with large illegal immigrant populations actually benefit by having more representatives in Congress therefore gaining an incredible leverage advantage in many allocations such as; education, Medicare, housing, assistance with commutes, food stamps, etc.I believe god created us all and we should respect his works. My heart goes out to those following the law and/or want to follow the law. I also believe if 100’s of large ships brought millions of Europeans into America each year, without following immigration laws, and refused to abide by our laws and then called others disparaging words perhaps it would be different.I think the US Census should count US Citizens and that no child/mother/father/etc, if they are here, should do without; food, clothing, safety, medical treatments, etc whether they are US Citizens or not. And that we should reduce our foreign aid, in alignment with the number of illegals from each country, purposionally as this will ensure we can help these people seeking amnesty without US Citizens bearing all the costs.I think that if the government assigns all the necessary resources to find the approximately 874,000 people who have overstayed their VISAs while prioritizing and controlling the border then adding more immigration courts, with checks and balances, and we increase the current average of one million new American citizens(immigrants who followed the law) to 3.5 million VISA holders we can not only be secure knowing who is here but also proving opportunities for better lives for those coming here.I hope and pray we come together on this issue for it is literally tearing this country apart when it doesn’t have to. These problems were not caused overnight so they won’t be fixed overnight but we have to be brutally honest with one another.PS I respect everyone’s opinion/answers to this question for passions run high.

I accidentally threw out my 2010 Census mail.....?

So, I threw it out a few days ago thinking that it was junk mail and I got a notice today saying that I was supposed to fill that out...

Is there a way to get another one? (I called the number they give you but it says to call back later for a replacement since I don't have the number that was from the original form...)

How bad is it if I don't fill it out?

What was the unemployment rates during Clinton years vs. Unemployment rate during Bush years. Hmmm...?

Anyone interested in the TRUTH?

Something you will never hear from the mainstream news...
The average unemployment rate during the Bush years is running lower than during the Clinton years.

June 7, 1996-- Here is how the mainstream news (Dan Rather) reported that the unemployment rate jumped up to 5.6%:

“The government came out today with its latest report on unemployment. It says the unemployment rate rose slightly, 2/10ths of a point last month, up to 5.6 percent – still low overall. And the numbers, pure and simple, can be misleading. Economics correspondent Ray Brady tonight has the story behind them.”
January 4, 2007-- And, here is how the AP reported on the current unemployment rate of 5.0% today:

Hiring practically stalled in December, driving the nation's unemployment rate up to a two-year high of 5 percent and fanning fears of a recession.

Employers last month added the fewest new jobs to their payrolls in more than four years, according to the employment report released Friday by the Labor Department. The report showed that employment conditions are deteriorating, strained by a housing slump and credit crunch that are sapping economic strength.

"The economy is getting hit by some body blows. The big question is whether the economy can withstand it or will it take a fall," said Ken Mayland, president of ClearView Economics.
UPDATE: Here's CNN's headline today:
"Jobs weak, unemployment soars"
Since when is a 5% unemplyment rate described as soaring?

Do you find it sickening when feminists exaggerate rape statistics?

It's sickening and in the long run does not help them.

Official crime statistics have been running about 30/100,0000 annually, The surveys conducted by feminists that give the on in 4 statistic ask questions that certainly do not meet the definition of rape and which most people wouldn't even count a sexual assault - Getting slapped on the butt by a partner for example, ends up being counted as rape by their survey. Their surveys have been criticized as being unaccurate, yet they continue to use this data they know to be flawed, instead of accepting official statistics. (Criticism in links 1 &2)

Using such over inflated statistics has many problems.

Feminists could be reaching out to men to help reduce the odds of rape, but instead they turn many men off by giving over inflated statistics and calling all men rapists - that does no good.

By purposely misrepresenting the crime for the agnda, they make a mockery of the crime as well as it's victims.

As with many feminist issues, it means we can never have any productive discussion. To have a productive discussion means rationally discussing the facts, but we can't ever get to that point, because we are all stuck right here - arguing about the basic facts.
