What Can I Do About My Neighbors

What can I do about my neighbors’ very loud dog?

I have a neighbor across the street that has 3 corgis - and when they are outdoors, they never stop barking. Never. So, I feel for you. It’s so disruptive and inconsiderate.I have owned many dogs myself, and have lived in cities. Currently I have a rescue dog of unknown origin (mutt), but when I first got her, she barked a lot & she had terrible separation anxiety (and would bark then too).As soon as I realized my own dog was barking, you know what I did? I was a good neighbor and spent time helping my dog learn *NOT TO BARK* as much as possible.I used positive reinforcement (treats) and a number of methods, I put a note under my neighbor’s door that apologized and said I had a new dog & was working at it - and it took a few months. So now, she only barks only when mail comes through the mail slot or people knock at the door. My neighbors are appreciative, and I appreciated their patience.Dog owners are like parents. There are good ones who spend time and effort to have pets that are good neighbors, and there are ones who don’t care if their pet is disruptive.Currently my anxious rescue is fear reactive to other dogs because of pretty severe abuse and being attacked on the street by other dogs. If she “sees” other dogs, she is terrified and goes insane with barking. Because of this, I don’t sit out on the porch with her (where she will bark from seeing other dogs), etc…BECAUSE I AM A GOOD NEIGHBOR.I drive to walk her in areas where there aren’t many if any other dogs, and I don’t walk her around town in the morning where she might wake up my neighbors. She is actually going to classes to help her work through her anxiety with seeing other dogs - but it’s a process.I say all this to say that even if you have a dog that has some problems - a good dog *owner* addresses them, and a good *neighbor* makes sure that they don’t bother others. It sounds like your neighbor is neither a good owner or neighbor.

What can I do my neighbors are gangsters?

At first they seemed nice and would talk to us very friendly and then all of a sudden their friends would come over and maddogg us. Then we started to have break in our block and we never see them work. All we see is people coming and leaving. then one day we got sumthing stolen and after that they never look or talk to us. but now their kid is harrassin me (I am 15) calling be a b*tch, mother f*cker and so on. and I have never even talked to him. I am pretty sure he has been doing things to the house too because dirty dipers have been showing up on our drive way. Nothing like this has happened b4 and my family has lived in this house 4 over 20 yrs. I JUST WANNA MOVE NOW!! and I used to really love my block. (I have lived in this house all my life)

What should you do if your neighbor hates you?

When I was a child we called all the adults in the neighborhood Aunt so n so or uncle so n so. no one family hated the other. These days I don't know any of my neighbors and the neighbor directly across from us hates us for some totally unknown reason (bi-racial couple is the only thing we can think of). We ignore each other, only thing we can do. (over the years we extended offers to help (carry in a large stove, offered shelter when when their neighbors condo caught fire when Mrs was standing outside in winter with her new born infant in her hands—-offers either declined or ignored).Only thing you can do is put your neighbor on ignore. Unless of course you feel yourself to be in danger. Then contact the authorities….or move!Good luck!

New Neighbors Now Roaches, what can I do?

Ok, I have lived in the same place for almost 10 years. During that time I have never seen ONE roach. Not ONE. A new tenant moved in upstairs two weeks ago, and I've seen 5 adult roaches and 7 baby roaches in the last two days.

This is ridiculous!!!!

Is it possible the roaches would travel from my neighbor's condo to mine that quickly? What can I use to get rid of them? I've also heard brief banging late at night from this neighbor's place. Sounds like some type of machine. It will bang, stop, then start again. Is there any type of exterminating machine that would do that? Something is running roaches in my condo and it is pissing me off.

What can I do about my neighbors being mean to my dogs?

If you want to do it the legal way then I would set up a hidden video camera and try to catch her in the act. Then call the police when you have enough evidence against her.

If you want to become friends with your neighbor and not have the law come between you for the rest of your life, then try going next door and talking to her. Kill her with kindness...LOL! Take her a batch of cookies and ask her if the dog is bothering her in any way because you would be more than willing to try to fix and problems. She will so much like and immature brat that maybe it will wake her up to act more like a civil adult =)

If being friendly doesn't work then go to plan B (video).

Neighbor hitting my dog! what should i do ?!?

ok, so when me and my family first moved to this neighborhood somebody tried to break into my house. someone told us it was the neighbors son that had tried to break in because they saw him run out from behind our yard. we soon built a big fence and my mom deiced to get two dogs just in case anything. about 3 months ago we realized our dogs barking out side really loud so we go out and see the neighbor ( the father) reaching over the fence trying to hit my dogs with a rake. now this bothers me because this is my fence that we built and there reaching over it. so today the dogs were out side and they start barking again, i go out there and i see a girl throwing rocks at my dogs . what can i do about this? my dogs bark because they throw things at them>! im out of ideas... help please! i wanna put barb wire on the top of my fence or something ! ideas pleaseee!

What does your neighbor do for a living?

My neighbour works at lowering the average nice ness factor on the street.

He has
Ripped me off for 1/2 of his cost of the fence I put in.
Put an elbow directing water from our roof onto my garage roof
Painted my side of our attached house
Blamed the fence falling down on the guys I hired as opposed to the daily watering of the garden
Throws the downed fence on my side (since he doesn't want it)
and parks on my side of the driveway so we have to move over so as to not hit him

What can I do about my neighbors playing the drums?

This started on Monday. This was the first time I heard the meticulous banging of drums over and over for about 30 minutes straight. I couldn't take it. I went to the neighbors house and banged on the door and of course no one answered. It was so irritating, I had to leave the house. I called my landlord and complained about it and was told that when the person first moved in they asked their immediate neighbor if it would be a problem and they said it was o.k. as long as the guy didn't play after 8p.m. I didn't feel that was fair because the noise is not only affecting the immediate neighbors but its affecting me 2 houses down. My landlord told me I was the first person to call and complain and that the guy had been living there for 6 months.I would be shocked to know that its not bothering anyone else. I was also told to call if it got too bad. I don't want to be the one to rock the boat but I can't take it!!! I am truly surprised that no one else has complained because I can hear it very well!!! What are my rights and what should I do? I think I am going to bring it up again when I go pay my rent on the 5th. Something else my landlord said to me was that they try to let everyone do what they like in their own house and I understand that, but is that really fair if its disturbing someone? If I was playing loud music, I'm sure I would have the police called on me and be told to turn it down, so how is this any different? I was also thinking about placing a nice note on the door and see what happens before I talk to my landlord, but what should I say? I didn't hear it on Tuesday, but here it is again today and it started about 1 p.m., stopped about 2:30 and just started up again at 3:15. If it was so loud that I could hear every beat, I probably wouldn't care but I can. When I get off of work in the afternoon I don't want to hear anything but cars passing by. I don't think I should have to turn my tv up everyday just to drown it out either. Any advice is welcomed.
